God, even after all these years, this game aged well. I was getting hyped up just watching the final fight with Ganon! Mainly remember these from watching mom play through them, though. Had to sell the N64 and all the games it had, this one included, 'cause we were in financial tight spot. Worst part (aside from the prior issue)? tbf, the bosses in Ocarina of Time are pretty easy even with the Master Sword. At least upon subsequent playthroughs. Biggoron's Sword doesn't really change the difficulty, it just makes the battle go by faster. The strategy is literally the same.

Boss stragedy: 1 gohma: Look up with up c button to look at her eye and she will drop down infront of you and the boss title shows beginning the boss. Anyways, when she slams into the ground, use the slingshot and shoot her eye. Now attack her as quick as you can. If you didn't defeat her in time, she will climb back on the wall to the ceiling to drop her babies. But there's a way to bring her back down without defeating her babies. Wait till her eyes are red and shoot at her eye and that will bring her down stunning her. Keep slashing at her until she's defeated. But if you didn't shoot her while she's on the ceiling, she will drop babies. These can be quickly defeated but if they hatched, they required a extra hit. 2 dodongo: He will walk up towards you and when he starts to inhale, quickly get out your bombs and throw them(remember to run to throw them otherwise it will say drop not throw if your standing) into his mouth. Now slash him once and you have to repeat this whole process until hes defeated. 3 barinade: Its a enormous thing with the jelly fishes attached to its body. 1st phase: You need to use your boomerang to throw them at one of the ropes hanging on the ceiling and keep going until all ropes are gone. Phase 2: He will start to spin the jellyfishes. Stun him to kill the jellyfishes until they are all gone. If not all gone, he will continue to spin so repeat the process. After the jellyfishes are gone or not, you can attack his main body until phase 3. Phase 3: This one a little bit harder to hit while hes trying to electrocute you. But keep using your boomerang to stun him then kill all the jellyfishes until all gone. If not, repeat this process. Phase 4: hes on his own. But you have your own advantage since all his jellyfishes are gone. So stun him then slash him until hes defeated. If hes not defeated, he will dive down almost his whole body into the ground and start to electrocute you like he did in phase 3. And you can't stun him just yet until he emerges from the ground. After he emerges, repeat the process. 4 phantom ganon: Phase 1: he will start to run toward the end of the road in one of the mirrors then in the other mirror, he will start to go outside the mirror. He may have another one going toward outside but its fake. And the real one will light up meaning hes about to exit the mirror. so shoot him with bow and arrow. but If you didn't shoot him in time, he will go over the middle of the floor, electrocuting the floor. If you didnt stand by the rope, you will get hit by this attack for a few hearts about 2 or 3 hearts. Phase 2: throw the balls he sends back at him to stun him then defeat him. But if he didn't get defeated in time, repeat the process. 5 volvagia: he will show up in one of the lava pits just his head only. Hammer him quickly or he will fire at you. Once you stun him, get back as his hair does damage you too. Now attack him. Just like dodongo, you can only hit him once at a time. After this, he will dive in and drive out of another hole where he will breath fire at you. Keep your target on him and you can use your bow and arrow to hit his head to deal damage to him. But it won't kill him. Once he dives in, he may trick you by doing that thing where he try to come out of the hole. But remember the more hits he took from you, the quicker you need to hit him before he breaths fire at you. Once he dives back in and dives back out, boulders are now falling. Watch the shadows to see where they are falling. Once he dives in, the boulders are continuing to fall until he goes in completely then dive back out to let you hammer him once again. 6 morpha: he will jump around and make water loop things by spinning in the water. But watch out for these loop things because they will grab you and chock you about 2 whole hearts. What you wanna do is grab that thing with your hookshot when possible but back up when hes forming the loop. Once you got him near you, slash at it until defeated. If not defeated, grab him again to defeat him. After a few hits, another loop forms without this thing in it. So watch out for at least 1 or 2 loop things because they can still grab you. 7: bongo bongo: this can be the hardest boss in the game. You start off with two hands, shoot at them with hookshot or bow and arrow. Once both are stunned, use your lens and once he on the ground, quickly shoot him as he will ram into you pretty quickly dealing 3 whole hearts. Once he's stunned, attack him until defeated. 8: twinrolva: Phase 1: use your mirror shield to defect the beam to the witch of the opposite element. Example: fire hits ices and ice hits fire. Do this until phase 2 begins. Phase 2: they both transform into a beautiful gerudo lady. Idk if that their real form or not but same thing applies here. But this time, you need to absorb her magic 3 times then raise your shield to hit her with that element. But the 3 parts of magic has to be the same element otherwise it will cancel out and start over. Once she stunned from that, go to the platform and hit her until she's defeated. 9: ganondorf: this the real guy here. He's harder then the phantom battle. Same rules applies here from that phantom battle 2nd phase. So yeah you need to hit the balls back at him until it hits him and you pull out your light arrow and shoot him. Now run to the center platform to defeat him. He also can send these scattering things at you which can be deflected with your mirror shield stunning him. Use light arrows while hes stunned then go up to him to defeat him 10: ganon Phase 1: what you wanna do is stun his head with a range weapon then attack his tail. Have him slash the building remains to get refills on your health, magic, arrows and bombs. You need those for this battle. The length of time hes stunned is based on what weapon you used to stun him with. Once his tail took enough damage, he will be unconscious for a while. So grab your master sword immediately. Phase 2: Now your back in business. However, the other weapons besides the master sword will not KILL HIM. But they damage him still. Once you know he's took enough damage with your other weapons, switch to the master sword and finish him. Ok after hes unconscious again, zelda will put a spell on him to stun him more so now you need to finish the job. Press b once you near him to finish him off for good.

I think they handled the bosses' deaths kind of poorly in the 3DS remake. Their deaths happen way too fast there. For instance here, Gohma dies and disappears right at the moment the fanfare music ends. You don't control Link when Gohma is dying; That is the moment where the game lets the player rest and feel triumphant while that music plays and they watch the monster slowly die in front of them. In the 3DS remake, Gohma's death is overly speed-up that it ends seconds before the victory fanfare stops, and the satisfaction of having beaten it lasts shorter. I dunno, but that small detail was really nice to me, and it kind of tickles me off they didn't thought about that for the remake.

It’s a glitch called a power stab.

Power Stab basically stores the previous attack damage from a weapon you used that isnt a ranged one (It only stores the master sword Bigorons sword and Megaton Hammer's attacks) If you use duck + Stab without Z targeting. That means for example that If you use the jump attack (which does Double the damage from a normal Slash) and then duck + Stab, instead of the Stab only doing normal damage, It does the same amount of damage from the jump attack. The glitch gets cancelled Once you do Any other type of attack or use Z targeting. Apparently Its an oversight from the developers, instead of the duck Stab getting updated with Its own attack damage, It doesnt and you can even maintain the attributes of the Megaton's hammer, like the ability to break rocks. Just use the megaton Hammer then duck and Stab with the master sword/Bigorons sword 2 times into a large rock and It Will break like you used the megaton hammer on It. Kinda useful glitch.

Just so you know, in the 3ds version of this game when you beat Gannon, Link still slashes him in the head like in this video, but at the end of it when Link pulls his sword out of Gannon's head, you hear the same sound it makes when you draw your sword to attack. Also I never noticed before but when Link is slashing Gannon's head, blood is seen with very hit. I guess the people at Nintendo either have sick minds to add blood to a peaceful game as this, or as since most of the second half of your fight with Gannon is in darkness, they don't want you to see it. Also in the second half of your fight with Gannon, if you get hit by him Zelda screams even if the hit kills you, once your revived by a fairy (assuming you have one that is), once you regain control of Link she screams. Also in case you didn't know already, the numbers next to your name on the character select screen is your kill counter, as in how many times YOU got killed in the game or to sound less dark, how many times you got defeated. Not to brag but mine is always at zero. 😎

@@Jo-Shmo8997 You first fight him in Bottom of the Well to aquire Lens of Truth. And then fight him again in the beginning of Shadow Temple to get the Hover Boots
