It's cool because Jabun's location on Outset Island always signaled "cut content" to it, but I've never seen an analysis of the moment done in a positive light like this, but it's appreciated. Great work. :)

I love this, never realized that WW took some queues from Majora's where it did a "dungeon not in a dungeon" motif and flipped the formula on it's head. Great vidya VZee

I've often thought that the post Ocarina games did a good job of edging towards doing this, and this is the clearest example. Personally i'd love to see a mix of strictly contained dungeons and some more pointed quests that are specific story beats. Does sound rambly? i dunno, i just woke up. Gimme like an hour.

I love this series because I love how you explain upon something that someone may not have really noticed before and expound upon it to make it a much bigger deal. Excellent video as always! Hopefully it won't be too long before you do another one of these, 'cause I dig it a lot!

Yo, this was some good shit. I never really thought about that 3rd pearl quest until now

I remember this moment too. It's a pretty somber-like quest to get Nayru's Pearl. Seeing grandma so depressed, I as Link definitely wanted to see her happy again. How could you look at that face and not want to help?

I never really thought much of this moment but interesting insight nonetheless!

tbh, i kind of hated this bit my first time out, but it's stuck in my mind over the years and slowly i started to see it as something that ushered in good changes in Zelda games, even if it probably does come from a place of cutting content.

Wowee zowee, this was awesome! Definitely need to get round to playing Wind Waker again, this vid might just be the motivation I needed. What mic do you use by the way? In the market for something that doesn't sound like GARBAGE, and noticed that the audio in this sounded pretty top-notch!

I record all my audio onto a Zoom H2n personal recorder. It all gets saved as a wav file on SD card and i sync it to the video later. And extra step, but it's easy enough once you get the hang of it. And i'm glad you liked the video! i've definitely been having a ton of fun revisiting Wind Waker as of late, msyelf.

Ah, such advice was echoed to me many moons ago.

Yeah I would've preferred a Jabun's Belly-type dungeon instead of all that sailing...but I enjoyed the video!
