They criticized you and your peers for the films that you were starring in, and disparagingly termed the Black Film Experience: "Blaxploitation", but we kids loved it. We saw our own people on the screen, not playing maids, or butlers, or kowtowing down to whites and talking that YESSIR MASSA lingo, but playing leading roles. It was an inspiration to us, and every Sunday afternoon, we would pack theatres to see our Black heroes. Those same so called Blaxploitation movies eventually lead to more quality films being made, and now people of color have won awards, both for acting, and directing. Much respect to the beautiful Pam Grier, and Rest in Peace to Tamara Dobson.

@Sandra Brown. As a 9 thru 12 yrs old going to see these " Black Experience ( hate blaxploitation) films one thing was guaranteed: WE ALWAYS WON...Guaranteed we won in the end.Pam was my favorite along with Calvin Lockhart and Fred Williamson.Always loved the feeling I had when I walked out the theater as a shorty like NOBODY CAN TOUCH ME...I felt SO proud with my head up high. Those days will never re occur, but the memories are forever. Thanks to all the actors and actresses who paved the way back then.Pam is STILL the QUEEN on the SCREEN

WOW, she has wisdom and she applied it through life. I knew some of her history, but she is a BOSS, straight business. There are so many people who does not have your best interest, you have to level up. I am glad that she stuck to what she knew as a person and I am extra glad that her family grounded her. At one point all I knew was "pam grier" not Boss or Business Lady Grier.... WHEN WISDOM SPEAK, you better listen and pay strong attention....
