Half his assists are fake af. Passes to a teammate, teammates takes 4-5 dribbles, makes a move, then shoots and scores, Lebron gets credited with an assist. If assists were counted this way back in the 80s/90s Stockton would've retired with over 20k assists. Magic, Nash, Kidd, and CP3 would all have well over 15k assists.

Passing isn’t high IQ. Passing to the perimeter is not high IQ. Passing when you have no option is not high IQ. Getting into a position that lets you get the ball and a free look is. Moving such that it creates space for your teammates is. Passing into a crowd with precision such that your teammate still gets a free look is high IQ. One touch passes are high IQ.
