Peglin Part 19 - theoretically, this combo can let you get infinite damage for free. However, it won’t be easy to get to that point. Certainly an interesting build nonetheless.

I dont think the shields are a bad thing tbh, but i think that if the shield can be destroyed, it should act like overwhammer, so the enemy takes any excess damage, have the shield and enemy act as 1 basically instead of 2 when the shield breaks

@@RickyRatte the only bummer with these features is that communities often tend to want outright removal rather than balance the purpose of it. I dont know much about the peglin community though so i have no opinion on that matter.

@@icodestuff6241 foregoing videogame logic, if you shatter a shield irl, the rest of the momentum/energy transfers to the user of the shield, so thats the idea i was making basically. The shield basically acts as another enemy stacked onto the enemy holding it, so by default it already functions as extra hp, and there isnt really a lot of options to bypass it

Honestly, Bramball is one of my favourite orbs in this game. The piercing effect on rank 3 is invaluable, and there are some fights which get hardcountered by bramball. And they happen to be some of the hardest fights in the game, such as early Minotaur fights (admittedly now a bit more fair with the changed board, which... thank god. That was one of the changes I was happiest to see, as about two weeks before I'd written feedback with that being one of the issues) or the walkers on stage 3. It's not as ridiculously explosive as some orbs, but unlike most of the powerful orbs in the game, the Bramball is also just consistent. It gives it's effect if you hit at least one thing. Even if you do 2 damage, that's still an enemy that's not moving for two turns.

@@boxcart4533 I don't know about that one, I feel like it synergizes with literally every orb because it just gives you an extra turn or two to whack them (assuming they're vulnerable to the root effect, which obviously some enemies aren't.) In some fights it prevents a chain of dangerous enemies from spawning, in others it prevents a dangerous enemy from getting near you. It doesn't directly buff any other orbs, it directly buffs you, it gives you more time to deal damage with your other orbs. I'm not saying that it's an earthshattering effect that will one-shot the final boss or anything, but it's an orb that allows me to, say, aggressively hunt down elites in the first stage because half of them are made twice as simple with roots. The difference between fighting the slime boss elite with a Bramball in your back pocket and without is pretty staggering. We're talking 15-30 HP loss staggering.

"There's also a new final boss, no guarantee I get that." And so I peek at the preview for the end of the video... aww. The description of Peglin, the main guy, on the character select screen says they have access to 'almost all' orbs and relics. This suggests to me that the other characters/classes may have not only unique relics, but unique orbs! I love the idea and hope they give it justice, though the starting loadout customizer is a great addition regardless.

I actually took the Chip a couple of days ago (which might be on a patch later than you played this?) and it received a massive upgrade. Instead of having a 0x well, there are two 0.5x wells so you can never lose your entire shot to bad luck! I think the other slots were 1x, 1.5x, 2x -- not really in a position to check right now. Key point: Chip isn't absolutely bad anymore.

Orboros + Cheese + Nosforbatu should be cracked. Especially if you get the relic that damages when healing or when taking damage. You can self harm with orboros to power up and then heal in a loop with that other relic that I forgot the name of

I’m gonna be honest, I’m not a fan of most of the boss relics. They’re pretty much all either situational, inconsistent, or have too big a downside for a lot of builds. The only one I can really say I fully enjoy all the time is kinetic meteorite. It’s always a lot of fun to see your orbs fly around the screen super fast, it adds to damage, and its downside makes sense rather than being a random thing they tacked on to make it not too overpowered. That’s not to say it’s the only good boss relic, but it’s the only one that I feel I can always take regardless of my current deck

I actually really like them having very powerful albeit situational effects. It makes it so the choice between boss relics is tied more to the type of deck you have than it is to the quality of the relic itself.

custom relics start basic blade + complex claw + power glove = +2+2 matryoshka shell = -2 -2 (but gives multiball) thise means you dont have more or less damage, but you have multiball, and for orbs try to go matryorbska only (starting with 3 of them)

I had this run before as well. Stalled out at the second boss since it could not do enough dmg before he ate me. To be fair, I ditched the Ororbos as soon as I could in the forest stage, auto refresh into damage.

Hey, idk if you’re still checking comments during your break but I came up with a sort of challenge run idea similar to the btd6 deflation mode: Assign every orb and relic a “point” value (maybe based on an online tier list or your own tier list of sorts), set a limit to how many “points” you can spend (20,30,50, idk), at the beginning of the run choose orbs and relics that combined value add up to that predetermined value, you can’t take anything for the rest of the run except for healing and upgrades (if you’re forced to duplicate an orb there’s nothing you can really do so either you can keep it or you always have to skip it until you can get rid of it) Maybe if you get rid of an orb you can take other orbs/relics that have up to half of its value or something I just thought this could be a cool and interesting idea for people to try and that you might be able to do after your break :)
