Stephanie Dyieneph this is spit on on Illidan's side, however Tyrande chose Malfurion, Illidan's brother, as her love. This broke Illidan's heart as he was/still is (after 10,000+ years i might add) and the events of Warcraft 2 (if im not mistaken) plays out. The story is amazing tbh.

Illidan has been several poor choices over the years of his entire life, however he made those poor choices for the good of the world. But in the end Illidan was sent to prison for Ten Thousand Years by his own brother, and while it was to save him from the death penalty it still hurt him mentally.
