Yesterday I attended a Lesbian Project conference in London. Trans activist were waiting for us outside chanting, screaming really loudly, and intimidating us. Two women were attacked by them when we started to leave. Police had to escort us out. It's 2023 and women aren't allowed to congregate without the presence of men, I'm still in shock.

As a gay women, I appreciate the support, but I implore you to not throw all trans people in the same bucket as the unhinged folks. There are trans people speaking out against a lot of the madness as well, and they don't deserve to lose respect, in fact they deserve even more of it. Unlike other rights movements that have looked for equal rights under the law, to ensure no discrimination on the basis of identity - the extreme (and very successful) end of the trans rights movement is wanting to erase and control language, to take away words that other people use to describe themselves with, to shoehorn into women's sports (which is segregated for a reason..I've yet to speak to someone who advocates for this that also agrees we should just "do away" with categories of male/female in sport). I agree the transwoman thing is a problem for women in society (both straight and lesbian) but I’m not sure I really agree with straight women at gay bars either personally. It makes sense to go to a gay bar if you’re same-sex attracted. So since most transwomen are autgynophiles (straight men), and even the rare transwomen who aren’t agps are still men, I don’t see how you can justify using gay bars as a place to party for people who aren’t just looking for a same-sex date. You can’t complain about being around straight men who like lesbians and want to dress like them if you are intentionally seeking out gay men. We want our spaces as well as lesbians =(

I think the rot set in when LGB groups (esp Stonewall) started accepting transgender (not trans-sexual, which I see as an entirely different thing. Love Julie Bindel, and I respect all the great work she has done to defend incarcerated women over the years. She’s a hero. I heard her say recently that she’s not really worried about women who earn 1 million pounds a year when similarly-employed men earn 1.25 pounds a year. She was describing the difference between sexism (pay gaps) and misogyny (sexual abuse, rape, coercive control).

Julie Bindel . . I live in NZ. I am so tired of not having a safe place for Lesbians to go out any more. From around the early 2000s we noticed groups of around 20 MEN (can I say that?) in provocative Woman's dress coming into our Lesbian events and just sitting togeather learing at us. Straight people feel they're defending Gay rights I think because they've been had. I think they don't understand what rights they're denying, Woman's sporting funding & wins, Woman's health funding, funding going toward chopping bits off & adding body parts. LGB without the T should happen. Gay people worked hard for at least 50 years to reduce gender stereotypes. We told girls who played sport and hated dresses they were just as much female as a girl who wore pink and did ballet. We told boys that playing with dolls didn't make them less male than playing football. Trans ideology has thrown that hard work down the drain. Kids that don't fit stereotypes are now having their gender questioned. Also body dysmorphia in girls is being treated as gender dysmorphia. Just because pubescent girls don't always like their body esp breasts and periods, shouldn't mean they get treated as wanting to be male.
