Agreed. I was fortunate enough to see The Libs at CBGBs before all hell broke loose with Pete's addiction. The band had such raw talent, and Carl and Pete harmonizing was just brilliant. I'll probably will have to fly out to the UK, or drive up to Toronto when they finally go on tour; I don't think they will tour the U.S.

I think there's still potential for Libertines to grow a lot more internationally because they keep working on it and they keep doing it with energy. The British are a proud people (or perhaps I should say peoples) and Brexit was just the tip of an iceberg. Pride makes the culture interesting abroad, especially if there are elements which some might find provoking. The concept doesn't need much changing in order to be continuously revitalised. On an international level it could almost help Libertines though if other British bands in their genre were to hit it large. That could really spawn subcultural interest in Europe on a market-making level.

Holy sh*t they're back together?! I don't know if I'm happier that they're making music again or that the relationship between Doherty and Barat was salvaged! These guys sort of belong together, in my opinion.

This song is f$)%ing genius. One of the qualities of the Libertines is how they sneak Jamaican rhythms into their music but immediately destabilize it with punk. No one would call them Jamaican but is there like a secret spice.

At first listen I liked this but didn't think it was much compared to their old work. After a few listens though it has just clicked and I'm in love.
