The story was written by Max Ehrlich (1909-1983), who went on to craft many bestselling novels. One of them was “The Reincarnation Of Peter Proud”, which was made as a feature film in 1975.

Just in time for the second showing, again. Talk about an international man of misery. As usual something different (even in noir) and worthwhile. Thanks PizzaFlix.

Take your word for today’s movies. Last first run I saw was Patch Adams in ‘96(?). I’ve seen some Denzel movies on tv and maybe a few others but can’t remember. No Netflix or any of that stuff, don’t know others, if any.

"NOIRESQUE" ?? Too French!
@PizzaFLIX7 ай бұрын
The word “noir” is FRENCH for “black” or “dark.” It was first applied to Hollywood films by FRENCH critic Nino Frank in 1946.
@robertmondoux64667 ай бұрын
@@PizzaFLIX Yes I know. I speak french. And "esque" is from the french, meaning “like” or “resembling". I was just jokingly pointing out that 2 french parts of one word sounds even MORE pretentious in english ;)

Gotta give a thumbs down on this movie. Hard to believe it was done in 1954--more like 1930. Terrible soundtrack, too much circus scenes, too much guys being drunk, terrible direction and staging...Lee Bowman is a good actor and wasted in this dog.
