That is true! When I was addicted to pornography and the other sin that comes as a consequence of watching pornography, it was a compulsive addiction, I spent years being held by it, trying quit with my own strength, but could never do it. I had tried so many times because I knew I wasn’t pleasing God, I was in sin, but I just couldn’t do it by myself. I could only finally quit it when I begged Jesus for help. The last time I had fail to quit it, I said: “Lord if you don’t take that out of me, I won’t get out of it. I just can’t! Please help me!”. Then, within the days, remaining in prayer, getting closer to Him, I realized that I didn’t have that compulsion anymore. That was no longer attractive to me. So, if you who are reading this need to, ask, beg, cry to Him for help and get closer to Him. Temptations may come, but with Christ you’ll be stronger to fight and beat them! When a person believes ONCE on the payment for all sins by God the Son (Jesus) at the cross with his death, burial, and resurrection, they are made born-again (Spiritually Sinless) by God. That born-again believer Cannot lose salvation (be un-born-again) for any reason. All believers have to walk through life, and their mind and body will sin while they spiritually Do NOT sin, since they are SEALED by God and have eternal security. Confessing sins, asking for deliverance from sins, and asking for restoration of Fellowship with God all come AFTER a believer is made born-again and cannot be part of how that believer receives eternal salvation, since they are only for maintaining FELLOWSHIP with God; not how to obtain and/or maintain eternal salvation / standing/ justification / Righteousness.

Earlier this week, I realized I need to turn to God to help me fight my decades-long addiction to pornography, masturbation, and sexual fantasy/lust. As men we have more testosterone than women which means your libido (sex drive ) is higher. It's harder to control. Find a good Hobbie. Gym friends make yourself busy doing other things to keep you busy . Less free time you have the less time you will do that. I hope this help . Pray for strength. This isn’t a man exclusive thing. I’m a women and i’ve struggled with it for most of my life. I still do. God saved me from it not to long ago. I went without it for a few months which was insane for me. I recently have failed again after i broke my bible streak and got discouraged. I went back to masturbation and lustful fantasies. I’m getting back on track now because I don’t want to hurt and abuse God. Guys and girls go through this and it hard for all of us especially considering how prevalent sex is in our society. Temptation sexually is everywhere for free so it’s difficult. I do agree that getting out and keeping yourself busy helps a lot. The only times I’ve fallen is when i’ve allowed myself to sit in my lustful thoughts instead of channeling it into something more healthy.

Willie, there is hope for you but you must repent and trust in Jesus Christ 100% and give your life to Him. I was addicted to pron for over 30 years and I could not stop and I did not want to. One night I saw several NDE testimonies of people who went to hell and it was so terrifying! If God were to judge you right now would you go to heaven or hell? The Bible is clear: your sin has separated you from God. What can you do to get right with God? After six days and nights of terror I cried out to Christ Jesus to forgive me. I repented and gave my life to Him. I had the fear of God big time. Porn is a deal-breaker. The Lord forgave me by His Word which says "Your sins are forgiven." "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace." (Luke 7:48,50). He delivered me from my addiction and forgave me by the blood of the Lamb. I have been free from pron for over seven years and by the grace and power of God I will never go back. Praise the Lord!

Yes, i hated being a CINO (Christian in name only). One thing that the Holy Spirit let me learn about a long, long sin habit i had was that not only was i wasting time, but the guilt and misery would always follow. The Holy Spirit spoke words to me one time when I was in prayer. Those words really stung my heart. I was in my own personal battle over sin, just like you were in your own battle. The Lord spoke to me that I had developed a habit of sinning a particular sin, and then confessing that sin to Him in prayer. The cycle was continuous: Sin, confess, repeat. The Lord spoke to me that it had become a habit, an addiction, like smoking cigarettes. Being a nonsmoker for life, I was repulsed and hurt in my heart. The Lord knew what to say to get me to change. The chastisement of the Lord, while it hurt my feelings for a moment, helped me to muster the determination and steadfast resolve to not repeat the cycle again and again, with God's help. Like a sports team that loses too many of their games, we eventually have to find a way to win, in our own personal lives.

The hardest battle I'm still facing above all else is my anger. I get stressed or things don't go my way then imminently start swearing and not caring about those around me. The root to my anger is the kitchen I work in at a restaurant. People can cut me down n I'll pray for them. People don't have to be nice and that's fine. But I be trying to clean and these orders keep coming in and I got stuff to do in the morning and I don't wanna be their all night. It's the same thing over n over. I asked god if I should just quit and I felt like he was saying yes. money isn't important rn. SO with that hopefully some patience will be apart of me.

I remember Jackie saying something about people commenting that they can’t help but lust after Jackie and here’s some advice: if you love someone, you respect them and want what’s best for them, even if it costs you something. So the key is to love Jackie and her husband and respect their committed relationship to each other. And where is the source of that self-sacrificing love? Jesus Christ who loves you so much He can love you even though you have decided thus far to live your life the way YOU want, not the way HE wants for you. So you have to sacrifice your own lustful desires of your flesh and deny yourself daily and grow closer to God who IS that perfect selfless love. Once you love people selflessly, you can’t possibly lust for them at the same time because it’s inherently selfish to want someone in that way. God bless you all, and just remember that when you put your faith in Jesus, believe in your heart that He is God and rose from the dead, and turn from your sin daily, God changes you. You can’t change yourself alone by your own strength because that’s exactly why Jesus had to come to earth to save us in the first place.

Thank you for your faithfulness in posting this message. It just came up “randomly” for me after watching something quite unrelated, but it was exactly what I needed to be reminded of today. Trying to quit sinful habits in my own strength does not work. But the scripture says “With Christ, all things are possible.” And Jesus himself said that we must abide in him, otherwise we can do nothing. I do believe that by abiding in Him I can succeed in walking in purity of thought and deed.

Thank you so much for your preaching. I have lived in flesh for so long and forgot the fear of God. I pray and hope that I get the fear of God instilled in me again like it was when I was kid. I used to think God would straight up smite me if I lie. After many years living without the fear of God made me embolden in my sin. I say many time I will give up sin and pray to God but I go onto sin again over and over. I have repented for many of my sin and trying to get rid of last bit of bad habit I had in me. I suffer from compulsiveness. In the name of Jesus I shall be cured of it.

Fasting helps a lot. If anyone reads this and feels like God is calling you to fast, then obey and do it for at least 3 days. Water only. I got called to fast by God so I obeyed and did a 3 day water only fast. Constant praying and praysing and praying in tongues when I didn't know what to pray. He gave me a new tongue and I experienced my arms just lifting up and my lips just praysing God in the language and melody I had never heard of. But more importantly, I came to find out that I no longer enjoyed metal music after that fast. Metal music still are objectively good music, but no longer had the kick and the goosbumps I used to get whenever I heard them right until I started fasting were all gone. All of a sudden, they sounded obnoxious and overwhelming. God can and will do the same for anyone who obeys his calling to fast.

Two things that have helped me: 1. We are not propelled by our love for Christ; rather we are proplled by Christ's love for us. 2. Brothers (or sisters), if you're stuck in a sin cycle - i really recommend setting a 24 hour timer and doing a *fast* from food, and preferably entertainment, etc. This really helps me draw close to thr Lord when im feeling far, or have given providence to the enemy in my life. It's all about the moment-to-moment starving of our flesh, and it really allows the Holy Spirit manifest Himself in your life more. Stay strong. He loves you all, and rejoice that we have each other while we're in this realm together.

By The Way: I have not written yet that a book of life exists in the bible. The Lord has blessed you with a great foundation. Thank you for sharing it with the world! For me, repentance came after I had a vision of Jesus, and I had beaten Him up with my sin. How could I do that to my Lord! I was broken for weeks and my prayer was, "what have i done to you Lord"? I read and reread everything to do with sin and salvation. The wages of sin is death! The fear of God came over me and I was convinced that I had blown it but I did repent and I never returned to the vomit (sin) again. A year later the Lord came to me in a very vivid dream, giving me His righteousness and forgiveness. This dream was confirmed so spot on in real life days afterwards too. We must REPENT! He is the LORD and we MUST NOT trample over Him... our saviour!
