MVP! I found this video a bit puzzling, particularly in Chapter 4. When you mentioned Mila's couch interview, I realized I haven't seen it, so I'm a little unclear on what she discussed. Although you touched on camera angles and such, I'm curious about what else made it feel sketchy or calculated. How does it differ from her previous interviews, and how does it tie into her new PR strategy? Also, I wasn't aware of Mila's background or that she was an immigrant who chose not to discuss her experiences. And I just learned that Ashton has a twin! I'm sharing this to encourage you to consider that some viewers might not be familiar with the people you're discussing. As a former editor, I felt like the script could have benefited from a bit more clarity and flow-I usually follow your videos without any problem! I appreciate the content you create, and I just wanted to share my thoughts to help enhance future videos. Thank you for the great content!

Dude, people can be deceived. I really think they believed their friend. They didn't involve themselves in the actual trial aside from the letter. How much do you want to bet? Furthermore, murderers parents still love them. There is a process. I learned about a mother whose son killed his sister. These are complex situations. Initially I was angry with her, because she still loved her son. But I had no right. She was dealing with complexity of grief and hate. You act like life is easy. These people were in a cult revealing they are more susceptible to manipulation. Their children will not care. Because unlike us, they will know their parents, and if they are wise they will comprehend the complexity of human relationships. They didn't protect a predator they thought they were helping a friend. Your perspective is completely different than theirs. People pretending like they did something akin to rape is deplorable. They've done alot for child abuse victims and because of the public outrage, children will suffer. Now, maybe they knew more and didn't care about the victim and you're right. But we can't say that. I didn’t realize how well researched this video was and am absolutely blown away! Very informative and great video!
@coffeeandcults3 күн бұрын
Thank you so much lovely, & thanks for watching! When I (finally) decide on a topic, I usually have done some basic research to check it will make a good video & then I have a big white board & I plot out the video & the chapters on that. It’s a huge one, I have it behind me in my Danny Masterson video & Quiet On Set. It always looks like that classic meme of Charlie from It’s Always Sunny 😂 After i plot out the outline of the video, including timeline of subjects life & big events, video timeline & the big stuff covered in each chapter. I always make a life & events timeline of the person im covering, & a timeline for the video, with the chapters etc & what im covering. Then I research the subject of the video. I keep the sources list as I go as it gets crazy but I like to provide them so people know where exactly the info is coming from. I think it’s important so that people can look at the sources & go & learn more if they want to about the ppl I talk about in the video, & that’s why I give the links & make sure everything is accessible to you. It’s also important so people know for example the outlet that is reporting something, if I say ‘it was reported that Ashton Kutcher did X’, I’m giving you the info, but you can also look & see if it was reported in the NY Times, or US Weekly, people have the info to draw their own conclusions, as obviously that’s always the way it should be, not just my opinion on what happened or how I feel. Of course im not a journalist & everyone is biased, & every so often I will put bits of my opinion, like when I spoke about how I don’t like when ppl have these family vlog channels & focus it all on their kids. I try give ALL the info, & of course I will not know everything, & obv things can change, a video I did once every news outlet reported all the kardashians/jenners weren’t invited to the met ball except Kendall, but turn outs Kendall & Kim were, so that video I still say they all weren’t except Kendall, but I can’t change it. But even stuff that’s known, of course I will miss stuff, unfortunately I’m only one person & my cat. To be honest, things would be a lot easier if I didn’t credit sources, & just read some articles & watched some interviews/vids & then just regurgitated it all. As sometimes ppl don’t want to be sourced, & then some people think if you use someone’s clip you agree with them on everything & if the source thinks X that means you do. In one of my videos last year I spoke about how I was friendly with Rosie O’Donnell & she had told me something about the subject of the video. I know Rosie from work I did with The L Word & we’ve never even spoken about politics together. We talk none stop about stuff in the entertainment industry (she knows everyone!) & she gives me lots of advice, but a few people heard that & thought I agreed with & thought everything Rosie does about politics. Same problem in another video when I mentioned something about Kayleigh McEnany & knowing her for 20 years! If I say something in a video, I want people to know where it comes from, & I don’t pick who says what, some people are great sources of info for say law, they are a lawyer & great to get info for cases. But they might be giving out, idk terrible historical info so by sharing the sources the viewers can go get the whole picture, see the source of the info, the context etc. as I source everyone always, I’ve even had to source someone on a video over a year ago, who took clips from my video, put a filter on my voice & then used it for their video intro 🤦🏼♀️ So yeah, if I didn’t put my sources it would be less of a headache… it would also be easier if I took sponsorships, it does get tempting to drop the sources & take the gambling sponsors money, but of course I don’t want to promote that sort of thing. I’ve prob overwhelmed you with this long response, but you’ve seen my videos, you know I’m never short on words 😂 I always try cover comments like this with info that could help others & give all the info I can. One tip for searching the sources, maybe search for the title or publication I do also label them all with their full title & if they are articles etc I always put the outlet or site. If it’s a specific thing you are looking for let me know & I will see if I can get you the link quickly. It’s hard to see all the comment replies, so feel free to message me on insta.

Why did Kunis and Kutcher write the letters defending Masterson? One simple reason. Masterson's lawyer assured them that the letters would be private and that only the judge would see them, before even making sure the judge agreed with that. Well, during the sentencing hearing, the judge disagreed with that and the letters were made public

I have so much respect for the women who came forward. SA is so traumatic and has so many layers. It can take decades for the victims to he able to come forward. It is often part of their healing journey, and it is often done because they can't live with the guilt of feeling like they could prevent future victims. In this case, it is sickening how the women tried to speak up, but were silenced by their church. It is so sick and wrong on so many levels that the place that should have been the best, safest place to go, was the last place they should have turned to. The church silencing the women and enabling Danny to continue his sick crimes, harming untold amounts of additional women. Whomever the women spoke with, and anyone involved with silencing the women, should be sitting in a cell next to Danny. The church should have lost its 501(c)(3)status immediately. I feel bad for the victims, and I feel bad for Danny's children. I am so enraged that scientology gets away with this, just like the Catholic church got away with covering up all the priests who SA'd their often underage congregation. If nothing else gives a church cult status, this type of behavior and cover up should!

Am I the only one who thinks that Mila has poor acting skills? She either does her normal "flirty" thing on-screen ("Black Swan", "Friends with Benefits"), or looks emotionless like a plank ("Jupiter", "The Luckiest Girl Alive"). She always allows herself to exist besides the camera but never indulges herself in fully living the character's life. "The Luckiest Girl Alive" was a very serious movie, everyone was discussing Mila's effort throughout it but to me it seemed like she'd done literally nothing, it's just the serious and respectfully painful theme of that movie helped her as a leverage, also her lack of emotions suited the role for once (since her character had faced SA while being in her teens, among of facing some other horrendous events). But to me it looked like the performance of that girl who'd played the teenage version of Mila's character had made the difference much more than Mila's acting, the girl's performance had been seriously adding weight to the story. But that girl was a nobody, apparently, that's why she never got any real mention and recognition when the movie just aired, unlike "so undeniably talented Mila" who had literally done nothing throughout the movie. Mila is a rare beauty, I truly think this is one of two main reasons why she's always been attracting decent Hollywood projects in the first place. The second reason is having showbiz connections that were made via Masterson and Kutcher and Scientology spokesmen.

So I might wait a bit for more to come out as I’m sure many celebs are panicking right now, I’ve always heard Diddy, like Masterson, had hidden cameras everywhere & recorded everyone at all his parties. So, allegedly, he has a lot of blackmail material on a TON of celebs. It will be interesting to see whether he uses that as a bargaining chip, he might try offer that info in exchange for a lesser charge/get a plea deal/a better deal, that’s prob not likely unless it was crazy info. I think more likely he could use the info to get transferred to a better prison or some other ‘perks’… but either way a lot of celebs will be PANICKING right now, in my opinion… so I will be keeping my eyes peeled for what comes out. When more info comes out or for the trial, I might do a big video like this Ashton & Mike one &/or cover it on my new channel @@coffeecultsandcats . This channel is going to start posting in Oct, prob towards the end. It will be more frequent, shorter videos, 10-30 mins & the videos will be about current pop culture events & Hollywood stories. The restaurant "La Poubelle" means dustbin in French. The bin in French is named after its inventor Eugène Poubelle, a lawyer and the prefect of Paris (1883-1896). He made a decree that forced landlords to put communal bins and the households had to sort their trash in 3 different bins (organic / paper / glass, oyster shells, faience), this made the collections of rubbish easier. Parisians then started calling their bins by his name. In the 1890s he passed a decree that mandated the landlords to connect their buildings to the gray water system and also pay the costs related to its maintenance. In 1885 he signed a decree that allowed women to partake in the medicine residency exam, thus putting an end to the banning of women practicing medicine and surgery in France.

Thank you so much for watching! Yeah I totally agree it, it was commendable that they were doing that, very few celebs who do. I really hate that so many kids are put on social media to millions of people via their celeb parents, & now influencer/youtube parents. I am the tiniest of tiny over here making my little videos & even I cover my nephews, cousins kids, friends kids etc. It obviously is to do with privacy all that stuff, but what I don’t think is spoken about much, maybe a topic for a future video about family channels, is the fact that there are a lot of very bad people out there looking to take advantage. On KZbin when you post content, you can see insane things in your analytics, including the retention of a video, where people leave, where they skip to, bits they watch over. If you go to these big family channels like the LaBrants & sort their videos by ‘most popular’ aka most viewed, a lot of the videos are gymnastics, dancing, swimming. There are many former family vloggers who have spoken about stopping because they realised this disgusting groups of predators were time stamping the parts of video to skip to the bits where the kid is wearing something like a bathing suit or dancing & they were all sharing it & saving it. That’s one of the reasons you can’t comment on YT kids. Obviously for most kids it is the privacy & in the future who knows what, but for kids being used for content, there’s many other awful things. Thanks again for watching love

@@coffeeandcults Nah, the internet is overloaded with too much byte-sized 😏, pointless, click bait-y, content as is. Give me substantial entertainment content over that tripe any time! I enjoy learning while I hear about scandals. 😊

@@smiletime thank you love, yeah I tend to agree! I have KZbin on 24/7, even in my sleep, & all the channel I enjoy tend to make longer videos. It is very rare that I would ever click on a video that is under ten mins. I also prefer videos with people talking & delivering the video with a well crafted story, I don’t like videos where people are screaming things at you & every 0.8 seconds there is a cut. One thing that really frustrates me is when I see people suggesting shorter content, esp on some of my fav creators. By that I mean, say a creator has a three hour video, there will be comments of people saying ‘this could have been 30 mins’ or ‘get to the point’ etc. I just cannot understand people who think this way & instead of a video, like those of Jenny Nicholson, Kiki Chanel & Cruel Mind Happy World, that’s put together as a story, backed up with lots of research & sources, is entertaining & goes over everything, they want a video that lasts five minutes, screams whatever the title/thumbnail was about & just flashes a bunch of cuts on screen. I wonder if these same people go to the movies & shout ‘get to the point, this could have been a Tik Tok’ 🤦🏼♀️ And don’t get me started on the videos some people make where their ‘research’ is reading the Wikipedia page on the video topic & are just regurgitating the Wikipedia page & two other videos they watched that they themselves were regurgitated from other videos who’s one & only source was Wikipedia. I just think the pinnacle of amazing content is videos from creators like Jenny Nicholson. Jenny is HUGE now, her latest video got 10,000,000 in less than two months! She has something like the seventh most successful Patreon in the entire world too, of which I’m a member of 😂 money well spent! Thanks again for watching. Thank you so much again!

I watch your channel and Growing up in Scientology avidly. I’m also a Linkin’ Park fan, specifically with Chester. I’m so disappointed that they have chosen to replace him with a Scientologist who actively supported Masterson. It goes against everything Chester stood for.

It appears she was born into it which is very different. She also seems to have released songs where she talks abt it as if she has left it. And she only ever showed up to one trial earls on before what he was accused of had come out and after understundom what he had done denounced him. We should give mike and the other members some faith that they know what they’re doing and where she stands

MVP! I've watched a number of your videos here, and enjoyed them all. Living in LA, and having worked for DirecTV...at their bradcast center in Marina Del Rey..., we brushed up against plenty of celebrities and pro athletes. Some were really cool, grateful, and humble. Others, well, not so much. I worked in Hollywood, across from Grauman's Chinese Theater, and saw MANY premieres, where my co-workers and I could get close to the stars, and again, some were very accessible, while others were aloof and guarded. I appreciate the attention and research you bring to your videos, and I found this longer form very enjopyable. Keep 'em coming! All the best!! :D

Hi! First time viewer here, and I watched to the end. I really like your delivery and your beautiful cat. I have 4 of my own plus 5 that currently are boarding with me. I discovered the Delectables a few weeks ago, and I have never seen so much love coming to me before from a previously stand-offish kitty. lol I am subscribing. Great video, very telling about Mila and Ashton. Ugh.
@taylorslade9615 күн бұрын
I think a big reason the apology was so poorly received, and I saw no one talking about this, was how different the tone was between the two of them. What is that when you watch the video, Ashton is giving a very relaxed, casual vibe, like he was just having a conversation. Whereas Mila was Making A Statement and it was really jarring to watch.

MVP! It also says a lot about a person who identifies themselves as one nationality when it's convenient for her and then forgets about it when it isn't anymore. Very well made video, thank you for making it and sharing it with us. Celebrity culture is on decline and the worshipping of celebrities is dangerous and must be gone.

My comment describes her connection to the Kremlin and Putin. Hidden business and kompromat. Many athletes and celebrities born in the old Soviet Union and the new Russia are extorted. Families are threatened and 'business" deals are created.

OK, so I almost never subscribe to channels, but after watching many of your well-researched videos on TV show scandals and real life mysteries, I had to finally sub after this one came up. Thanks for your hard work! If I could make a suggestion for a future topic of research and potential video, I'd love to see you do a video on former WWE head Vince McMahon. I bet you could dig up quite a bit of stuff on him over his decades of controversy, from Black Saturday in the 1980s when he basically hijacked another wrestling show from the airwaves behind the scenes, to the steroid issues of the 1990s and how the government got involved, to his decades of sexual harassment issues finally comiing to light the last few years and resulting in his removal from power. I would love to see what your research finds here to separate fact from fiction, and I bet there's enough fact for one great video. Just an idea, but whatever you do next, I look forward to it!
