Jeff Healey was the only blind man who could see, sing, write, play guitar better than most sighted people. He's a Canadian Legend, Heroe and I Respect the Gentle Man. 🎸...So I am walking around Giants Stadium in New Jersey during The Budweiser Summer Fest in the summer of 1992 looking for a place to sit down. I hear this incredible sound. It's a guitar, but not just any guitar. The music was blasting through my ears and rattling my soul. I had never heard anything like it before and I have been to a zillion concerts. I asked the person next to me, "what the hell is that?" His face lit up and he said, "That's Jeff Healey man!" I quickly found a bleacher and parked my butt on it so I could watch the show. I will never forget that moment. I sat there in shock and amazement. To watch Jeff Healey play guitar live was an experience I will always be grateful for. I went to the show to see The Allman Brothers but instead I saw a legend. It's sad to think about a guy with so much talent having such a challenging life. Jeff Healey was one of the best Blues musicians of all time. May he Rest in Peace now. ✌️

Over 20 years ago Jeff Healey played the most amazing live show I've ever seen, we were in Calgary Alberta at a little jazz club called beat niq, listening to some average band and all of a sudden in the middle of their set the lead singer literally stopped dead and said hey is that Jeff Healey in the audience? He invited him up on stage, Jeff had them bring all the instruments they had in the club and literally sat within touching distance of clarinet, trumpet, every kind of instrument and then he did a history of jazz set off the cuff... starting from early Jazz Dixieland, Acid Jazz you name it he did it ...and it was magical, and was on that stage by himself... he was a literal musical genius and I've seen it with my own eyes

I've seen Roadhouse so many times just to watch Jeff. Can't hardly believe how young he died and such a horrible thing he went through with cancer. His eyes and then cancer took him. We have donated trillions of dollars to research for cures for cancer but it's still here and taking thousands of lives every year. 😢
