I think that it would be best before getting intimate with someone to let them know if you are trans, NOT for fear or danger of reprisal, but because there's less chance of hurt feelings on either side. It's NOT an excuse to harm someone, but it makes sense to discuss it before getting sexual.

My parents were so strict with me and my sister we had to be home by 9 and that was a long time from having to be home at 7pm and we were only allowed to go to certain places. Sadly I still veered in a terrible direction but I've been sober now for 32 years. I got caught early but think about people who keep using for years and never make it. 😞 You're right though, in this day and age, no one should be out that late, it almost never ends well.

24:31 Well that’s a beautiful sentiment. But. It’s such a shame that Lisa’s drive “to do right by her child” didn’t kick in earlier, ie while her child was alive and spiraling. *My comment is NOT based on the matter of transgender status.. we can remove that factor from my point entirely.* Because her child, trans or not, was clearly struggling and on a very destructive path as a school suspended, violent fighting, shot 6 times, teenage METH addict for goodness sakes. Red flags were a-flying and gave Lisa multiple opportunities to “do right by her child”. This is beyond tragic.

This is just sad the mom basically let Nikki do what he wanted she even said it. “I just let Nikki lead the way.” Kids are not supposed to lead the way as parents we are supposed to guid them and protect them. With that said, multiple people, including the victim, could and should have made better decisions with simple common sense and better judgment. If transgenders or anyone else for that matter wishes to be respected and treated with care, then they should also respect and treat others with the same respect and care. By doing so, that would include being up front about sexual gender.

They used to tell their friends that he was dead before he actually passed away. So, I'd have to disagree. Oh.. When women go missing period they are also usually found deceased not just trans women. 3:51 Not trying to be mean but if u r trans n r meeting up with someone just tell them u r trans. Some ppls egos can't handle being tricked like that honestly.

Yep and usually them trans want to hunch so it should be a law on the books where the trans has to tell folks up front that they are trans just like there's laws on the books where you have to state your HIV/AIDS status...before you come at my comment you know what I'm trying to say

So disturbing, the relationship mother/daughter. sorry to say, but if her mother would have take her mother responsibilities serious, there would maybe another result with Nikki. as we say here in switzerland: don‘t give your child always what they want, give them, WHAT THEY NEED!

Also, when you’re underage the parent has the right to have you go to rehab whether they like it or not. The teen may throw a fit but ultimately is grateful to be introduced to sobriety.

If you are trans best to be upfront with people. Im pretty sure if the man was aware from the beginning this would have gone differently. Stop masquerading as something you are not!

Cis people pretend they are something they are not every single day. All kinds of people lie or hold back information about themselves, for many reasons, does that mean they deserve to die? Do you deserve to die when you are not upfront with people about things...? It's okay to think about things before sharing them.

With heterosexual males, full disclosure is mandatory. If you are transgender, you owe it to the other person to disclose this before you allow yourself to become intimate with them. This is just common decency. On the other hand, he had no right to react the way he did and take someones life. This tragedy was preventable.

I hate to say but I miss the days when you were either gay or straight. There are way too many pronouns and LGBTQI? When was the I added? I know this has nothing to do with actual story but our world has gotten WAY OUT OF HAND! May Nikki RIP and I pray for both families who have essentially lost their kids.

Transidentity has existed before. It has nothing to do with sexual orientation. Transsexual people lead lives like you and me. But I agree with you, these many more pronouns are too much.

Love and pamper your child till age 5 then be strict parent till age 16 be their guide afterwards..... You know what your child is doing , you know what kind of ppl are around so please guide them in proper way. Getting addicted to durgs so early risking life by meeting strangers at odd time she had invited too many dangers for herself. Its sad for a parent to loss a child so early this will be a never healing injury in her life. I wish all youngsters be bit more sensible and cautious when you are going to explore new things. Same parents keep tab on your kids on what they are doing.

Mom made Nikki move out because of Nikki's drug use. Watch this again and you'll see how carefully the mom talks about it. She called Nikki everyday. Who calls their daughter who lives with them everyday? The family was chaotic. Multiple family members were in and out of jail. The homes were apparently dirty and messy.

The trans narrative here is apparent . I would be shocked and angered if I was dude . Who knows maybe Nikki was violent bc he was high and dude got scared and thought it’s either him or me . Anything is possible . Moral of the story .. don’t hide your gender from a possible intimate partner . Be up front . If they are down for that cool. If not at least you were honest and gave them an out before anything happened romantically.

These parents do no favor to their kids when they encourage this behavior. According to government websites, 82% of transgenders have attempted suicide. Parents need to be parents and get them help instead of allowing stories like this to happen
