Sadly I still veered in a terrible direction but I've been sober now for 32 years. I was once 14 and despite being a “good girl”, sometimes I lied to my parents that I’m staying at my friend’s place and instead was hanging out with a group of guys that were doing drugs and drinking. I was madly in love with one of them… now I’m 33 and I’m thankful that poor decisions didn’t ruin my life, but there’s no chance I’d understand anything back then. Based on the comments, I believe many will agree. I can Starr by saying in no way, did the victim deserve to be killed. With that said, multiple people, including the victim, could and should have made better decisions with simple common sense and better judgment. If transgenders or anyone else for that matter wishes to be respected and treated with care, then they should also respect and treat others with the same respect and care. They eventually told me to stop trying (I drove to wherever so that he could spend whatever time with them -- up to 1k+ mile trip one way).
