Great loss to humanity... I truly idolized him and his unique narration of each and every one of his episodes which not only introduces the wide variety of local delicacies but also describes their unique taste to the rest of the world with such detail that one can almost taste the food while watching his shows... He had great respect for local cultures and their uniquely different tastes while being truly honest about his preference without hurting anyone's feelings... He will be forever remembered as one of the greatest Chef who roamed the earth...literally... 🙌🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼

I traveled the world with Anthony, I visited places I know, I will never physically go....I smelled the aroma of foods he connected over. The sight s were beautiful, sad, baffeling, yet breath taking!!!!! I experienced a GOD given high as I watched Parts Unknown each week/on demand. There was the human connection Anthony hungered to bind. Anthony used each episode, to erase any barriers of our cultural, social, economic differences. I was there with Anthony each week, mind, heart, spirit and soul!!!!!!! R.I.P Anthony....Nice to have been acquainted with you!!!!

He understood the connection between people and their meals: that it was influenced by culture, history, and love. It was a window into the souls of strangers and history. He showcased the strengths of unsung people, and gave us all an opportunity to see them authentically. He gave us more than one man can give.

Just saw the documentary Roadrunner, and it was a wonderful, incredible documentary. Interviews with friends, family and cast. I can honestly say I was mesmerized the entire 2 hours. May his soul rest in peace! A beautiful American, human being and a global citizen! A huge loss to the whole world. I have never cried for the death of someone I did not know or meet in my life, but I cried when he died! He was content, he had his family and daughter in specific that he adored. There was no reason for him to commit suicide! He was not mentally ill. I still do not believe he committed suicide, I think he was assassinated because of his high profile in the elite society, he knew things that were never supposed to be revealed!

I did not agree with Anthony politically but I enjoyed his spirit of adventure incredibly. He traveled to places to allow us to experience them without having to endure the rigors of doing iy ourselves. I loved the way he wrote and delivered his narratives for each episode. His delivery was always real and honest. Especially when he exposed the truth about his experience of diving for octopus of the coast of Sicily. His journey thru life left a lasting impression on me and no doubt many others. He was honest and heart felt about what he experienced in every moment of his shows. I just wish he had done so with a psychologist with what matters most, his depression that led him to take his own life far too soon. We are left with great memories and a lot of questions of what might have been if only he could have sought and received the care he desperately needed. Rest in peace brother.

I don't think he committed suicide. He states that he would eat Sushi from Japan, if he were to have a last meal before death. He says his daughter is the joy of his life and that she keeps him going. He talks about appreciating life and although he has had addictions and some other shits, the sounds more like a conclusion people come up with right away since it makes the most logical sense. But from all his interviews, it just doesn't add up.

Joluvslilhorses No one will really know you. You will only really know yourself deep down. And if you personally need help you have to ask. No one knows what the other is thinking or what they are going through... unless their behavior is off or if they would talk about it. I’m sure if you speak to someone they will know what your saying on a personal level. Don’t convince yourself that no one will get you or know how you are or even care. Someone will always care. Protect yourself from bad thoughts bc they aren’t true. We are all important, loved and cared for. If you weren’t then God wouldn’t have made you. You are important to your Creator 100%.

If anyone wants to know the real reason he killed himself. It wasn't because of manic depression. It was because his girlfriend Asia was cheating on him with a french photographer Hugo Clement. An italian newspaper snapped photos of them hugging and holding hands. 5 days after that Bourdain hung himself. He said she was the most important thing in his life. Bourdain didn't die because of ongoing depression. He died from a broken heart. Rose McGowen tried to swell things over by claiming they had an "open relationship" because she knew they would start blaming his GF. That's B.S because Anthony who loved her that much would never want to compromise his true love to just share it with someone else. Then McGowen blames Bourdain for not going to the doctor and his "depression" was the reason for his suicide. McGowen so biased. If the guy cheated on the girl and the girl killed herself, she would be flipping out about guys. Here's the article. pagesix.com/2018/06/12/paparazzo-who-snapped-asia-argento-with-french-reporter-regrets-shots/ Google pictures of Asia and Clement. Poor Bourdain, my sympathy goes out to him. Love is powerful.
