I saw Jack in a pub in Battersea at lunchtime one Saturday back in the early 1980s, he was on his own and very drunk. RIP, I'll never forget you. ❤

I was a little girl when I saw Oliver at the movies. When the movie was over, I couldn't get Jack's Cockney accent out of my head. From then on, I had UK fever. RIP Jack Wild !

I remember him from the movie Oliver. Excellent entertainer. It's sad he threw his life away for Alcohol. 😢 And yes! It's very cool 😎 Davy Jones was on the same Ed Sullivan show as the Beatles debut 😀 in America 🇺🇸

That's so sad. Sadly I'm not old enough to know him well enough on the big screen. I was curious about him after watching a bit of H.R. but damn I didn't think it was that long ago. I wanted to see how he looked now and i found out he died when I was 6. So I had to watch this video to see why exactly.

I do remember Jack Wild. I had a copy of TV Guide from 2000, and there was an article of child actors: Where are they now? and Jack Wild was one of them in the article.

I'm getting closer to my 'sad ending' and I can't think about it to much because it really bothers me alot. It's scary to think that we all have an ending date already determined, but we just don't happen to know when that is. That's what bothers me.😬 I really do love all your mini-documentaries! They're all done so great! Sorry for rambling.😊

Speaking for myself, I understand everyone and everything will have a sad ending. Nobody gets out alive, so I try not to worry about it. I hope there's a Heaven and pray there's no Hell. On a lighter note, hang on until the sad end and thanks for watching my videos!

Okay...this will be a bit off the beaten path....but...My little sister was a huge Fan of Jack Wild. Me and my brothers teased her often about her pin up idols she hung on her walls in her bedroom. One day I could help notice how much Jack actually resembled a Pro Wrestler that I watched from time to time on the then early days of cable tv. This wrestler's name was "Superstar" Bill Dundee who was also British and resembled Jack in height as well. This video really brought back some childhood memories! MOO From COW-lumbus, Ohio 👋

I remember him from Oliver and HR Puffinstuf. I thought he was adorable. He must have been an extremely heavy drinker to damage his health the way he did. That youthful face was replaced by the face of a much older and sicker man. R.I.P.

I've lost count of the many people I've seen die of alcoholism. I've seen them die as young as 32 to their early 60's. In every case they lost any natural attractiveness gifted to them and in many cases they lost their ability to cognitive process information. I'm a scientist and I have many world renown colleagues who developed Korsakoff syndrome, AKA, alcohol induced dementia. Among my colleagues was a man who made invention of a technology that touches all of our lives everyday. My colleague was arrogant, would not listen to anyone, my intellectual and scientific superior, and he had the one attitude that I've seen kill every alcoholic I've ever known; he felt sorry for himself, there are few things that kill faster than self-pity. At the end of his life he knew that he had done irreparable injury to his brilliant mind; thus, began an insidious battle between his his fear of death (which would inspire brief periods of sobriety) and the pull back to drinking that was driven by the realization that he had lost what made him who he once was.
