100% Agree!!!! I started using a pocket notebook again as a "paper-brain" a couple of weeks ago, and I love it! I wonder why I stopped before...I don't feel pressure to make it pretty, which is what usually holds me back in other journals. I find that I am more relaxed because instead of holding onto thoughts and ideas, I'm recording them right away. I then file them in the permanent locations or take action at the end of each day.

i loooove when you make notebook videos ! few days ago i started using a small notebook for litteraly everything i want to write (shopping list, events, my feelings or just basic todo list) in order to reduce my screen time and i already feel a lot more grounded :) i hope you will keep on making videos about it ! im Audhd and i am obsessed with list, i don't really know why but making all my list in my notebook makes a lot more sens than on my note app 🤔 it feels like im giving them more value and i rlly like it 🌷

I use Field Notes in the EXACT same way you do and I can confirm it is life changing! Even more so if you’re someone whose job does not involve sitting at a desk all day. I highly recommend the Field Notes Archive Box too. (P.S. I don’t work for Field Notes, I’m just a happy customer. 😊)

I love second brains but i am always either driving or on the go so usually ask Siri to text myself short notes and when i have a minute i’d transfer those into my Evernote. Long term/important notes i can print and stick into my small junk journals (i make for myself).

You’ve inspired me to this. I often have ideas throughout the day so go to write them into my notes app to add to my planner later and they either end up in the digital void, or not written down at all because I get distracted. Going to try carrying a notebook with me even around the house. ❤

I couldnt find a small enough pocket notebook to fit in my planner because my planner id pocket size 😆 But I plan to try to make myself one by putting together a few pages with a stapler 😊 I have been using the "notes" section of the planner so far but its far too less space and this pocket notebook is a great idea! 👍

I use one of these off and on (thank you ADHD for making so many habits that help difficult to maintain). I've been using the Bullet Journal method (the actual way Ryder Carroll explains it, not decorated beyond all comprehension) and I find it incredibly helpful. Going to start carrying a pocket notebook around again, starting today.

I tried the DECORATION / ARTSY pocket Notebook style , and It got way to distracting and filled them up too fast.... I too prefer the minimalist , brain dump style , and then transfer any valued notes , on spot ideas , to do lists, into my fancy pancy home bulllet journal..lol
