I'm pretty sure Lestat made Gabrielle a vampire before he turned Nicki. When Lestat decided to turn Nicki, Gabrielle said it would be disastrous.

It was a cloak made from the wolf pelts. And Lestats creator was very very old and had never shared his gifts, so he made Lestat stronger than Armand , that’s how Lestat could beat Armand’s ass. I’ve read these books over and over since I was 12, I’m 55. lol love this world Anne Created. I met her once at a book signing. It was like looking into another universe when I looked her in the eye. Great Job. Keep sharing her world!

If you haven't read the books you've missed out. If you don't like reading then buy audiobooks & have them read to you!! They are all great except for the very last book when they change the narrator. So many stories you're missing out on, so many back stories

I never understood when I read the books, how Lestat a young vampire was able to beat the shit out of Armand.

I feel like this is because Armand doesn't really retaliate much, I mean even when fighting with Daniel he seemed to be restraining himself, he is much more powerful than what he chooses to show, I guess. And when Lestat beat him, I think he was weakened by his troubled mental state regarding the shatter of his beliefs (bc of Lestat), so he didn't feel like defending himself and just cried out of despair? At least that's how I feel regarding him, he doesn't show much of his strength, probably because he doesn't like fighting.

​@@leaplouvinno. Armand did everything he could to subdue Lestat and overpower him. Lestat just beat the hell out of him until Armand couldn't move anymore. Armand did everything he could, Lestat was just stronger. The only way Armand ever got the better of Lestat was by sneaking up on him.
