my fav spider down here in Auz, been on military base at night out in the bush with two tanks wide roads, and one of these species was legit in the middle of a web about 4 meters across. was wild. middle of night in the dark rest in peace if you drive a car through it .

An orb weaver's life is beautiful. But, people here in the Philippines hunt them down almost to extinction, using them in illegal derby, but Filipinos are just so hard headed. Now, I don't see any of them any more. They used to be so many with different species. 😢
