First saw Maiden in the Cart & Horses in 1976. Wish I could remember more. Also went over West Ham FC with Paul Dianno and Steve ( Loopy) Newhouse, Clive Burr's drum technician to see them play Newcastle. Great days.

@@MK356BC How many of those guys are still writing music and touring year after year? Don't get me wrong, both those guys are legends on their own right but Steve is killing it every night and he has 2 bands if you count British Lion. In the meantime one of those guys you listed is dead from a hard life and cancer and the other just can't go on after the best drummer of all time passed so when you add it all up and consider everything Steve is the ultimate master of bass in Heavy Metal hands down, there is no argument.

Agree. The figure is highly suspect. 150 mill albums + 50 years merchandise sales share + 2500 gigs (with a lot in massive sellout stadiums + royalties from all the song plays/streams. I would say he’s got to be much closer to e.g the 350million of Lars Ulrich at Metallica. 😮
