Too bad Habs fans don’t show respect to other teams 😑. Atleast with all of my experiences with Habs fans. I’m a Vegas fan , lived in Vegas 20 years, have been a fan of Vegas since before they even played their first game, and love my team. Can’t tell you how many Habs fans have tried to tell me Vegas fans aren’t “real” hockey fans or how Vegas somehow cheated their way to being good somehow . Shits depressing . I respect Montreal for what they did this year and really respect their players . I have huge respect for Price he’s an awesome goalie. There's a few points i wanna make the Lightning werent really 18m over the cap Cap Friendly adds the salary of every player on the roster and only subtracts players on LTIR. A little over 8m of the 98m you see on CF are AHL call ups who never played a game in the regular season or in the playoffs but still counted towards the salary cap on CF. 8.5m is the actual number over the cap the Lightning used only in the playoffs and that's Kuch's salary. You're also forgetting Stamkos was on LTIR for 18 games and Tampa was the only team in double digits of LTIR used in the regular season at 17.35m the next closest was around 8m. JBB did his job as GM to give them the best chance at winning a second cup. I should also remind you Tampa did this after losing 3 D men and a 4th line grinder in the past offseason being Shattenkirk, Bogosian, Coburn, and Cedric Paquette. Like somebody else mentioned The Lightning were the only team who voted for closing the loophole back after the 2015 Blackhawks Tampa cup finals where the Blackhawks used the exact same loophole to win. The amount of people who have the applies to thee but not to me mindset is fucking embarrassing not only as a Lightning fan but as a Hockey fan because nobody ever talks about throwing an Asterisk next to Chicago's 2015 cup but everyone and their mom is willing to do so when Tampa does.

I'm a Habs fan and I don't feel bad. Is it normal ? The Habs went to the Stanley cup final. They went threw Toront, Winnipeg and Vegas. That's more than great, that's amazing. Why being so obsessed by the first place, by the cup ? They were so fun to watch this season and I'm sure they'll be fun to watch next year. Professionnal sport isn't about the fun of watching them ? If you only have fun when they finish first, with the cup, you're not having a lot of fun.

the enemy is not the Lightning exploiting the LTIR loophole, it's the loophole itself. Other teams were trying to rig that loophole as well. Tampa Bay just did it right. Close the loophole and you'll see a more honest cap system. Maybe.

Great video. Crazy seeing my hometown win the cup back to back. I grew up watching the bolts, even when they played at a warehouse at the State Fairgrounds. Congrats on being a new dad! Great to hear your experience, and also great watching your fantastic content. Cheers!

I preferred watching the game with you to listening to the play by play commentary. Play by play is for the radio. Watching with you was like hanging out with you on the couch and picking your brain about all the hockey knowledge you have. Thank you.

Most leaf fans are very happy with this result. What the habs did was so incredible and deserves respect but as a leafs fan truly glad it worked out this way

Surprinsingly, your stream presented the game a few seconds earlier than on tv. You also provided a great description, from a Qc Habs fan.

The Lightning will still be competitive, but they're likely losing like 4-5 big pieces because of the cap crunch. They will still be contenders, but they'll be a good bit weaker next season.

Seems to be exactly what everyone was saying last year! They will figure it out and will be just as good.

They’ll make another push to deal Johnson.

I will say, the most cathertic Stanley Cup win ever was one where fans had to dismiss the woldwide pandemic and gather in their huddled masses and go INSANE when the final horn sounded in 2020 against the Stars. To win 2 cups in less than 300 days is just insanity the likes we may never, ever see again (and hopefully don't need to). I've never been more proud as a ride-or-die Bolts fan.
