This is what I call a sore loser :), "this game is not fun at all (when you can't beat the level ) ". I played this game when I was a kids and it basically took me a while to finish it. And to be honest it still consider one od the most challenging game of my childhood besides battletoad. Old video game are made hard so that the kid playing will keep playing that game for a longer period. It's designed specifically that way.

I'm such a fan of this series, and I know that you both don't play video games super often. HOWEVER I felt compelled to say that throughout this entire episode I was on the edge of my seat holding back screams of desperate annoyance and anger at how terrible you both are at this game. This games rough. I was never able to get past level 2 as a child. Disney purposely made this game as hard as possible in order to force hours of gameplay out of it.

Agreed. Those timed jump side scrolling games were always a challenge. I do remember beating it several times as a kid though, along with Aladdin. Can pretty much guarantee I'd rage quit nowadays.

I finally beat this game in college. I sat myself down, apologized to my girlfriend and roommates in advance for the filthy horrible things that I'd be yelling all day, booted up the SNES, and made it to the end screen through sheer force of will. I played this on SNES so much as a kid. It was the first game I ever beat and still probably the game I feel most accomplished about. Level 2 was probably the most frustrating, but Hakuna Matata’s waterfalls were rough too. And that hyena cave level, ugh. I put so many hours into this game as a kid. I love you guys. But just because you're terrible at a game doesn't make the game terrible. This is a good game. Not sure why you had such issues on level 2. The hard stuff is later in that level. That opening bit is straight up platformer 101. Still fun to see y'all play and talk about it though.

I did beat level 4 without the health cheats but it took a lot of water time and memorization but hey we did not have cell phones and it was winter at the time ! However I remember the hardest level was when adult simba is in the caves! Great video and super funny to watch you guys!

This was among my favorite Genesis games. Truly Excellent. Either those two dudes' game emulation service is flawed, or they SUCK at playing old platform console games. I was a totally average gamer when Lion King was released. It was tough, bit I didn't ever struggle with the second damn level. LOL
