I'd like to hear you tell the story of Sean Dugas in Pensacola, Florida. I went to high school with him in the late 90's, and he disappeared during hurricane Ivan in 2004. He was eventually discovered dead, having been murdered by twin brothers for his $100k magic card collection. They killed him, loaded up his body and his entire house in a U-haul truck, drove across state lines to Georgia, and buried him under their dad's driveway. He was such a nice guy, and did not deserve what happened to him.

It's a very low survival rate. It's usually passed through when an ear infection or sinus infection gets out of control. It's caused by the bacteria permeating the brain and in 12 hours you begin to lose consciousness. At 24 hours you're in a coma with no chance of survival. The reason for the low survival rate is the severity and strength of the infection and lack of medical field personnel having seen meningitis before. You can only identify bacterial by doing a spinal tap.

I’ve not been shocked by a true crime story for a VERY long time. This case has honestly made me feel so sick, disgusting. The way you speak about the case Zara, you speak with such passion towards the victims. Never apologise for getting emotional about cases, they’re disgusting and awful. 🤍

I had spinal meningitis at 4 months old. My family was prepared for me to die. To the point the Chaplin came to pray. (My dad was military) During the prayer my fever started to break. The doctor told my parents that because my faves was so high for so long I would be mentally handicapped the rest of my life. They were wrong. I am one of the low numbers to survive and thrive.

I can’t even imagine being 10, 11, 12 years old & having a “game plan” for what you’re going to do if someone comes into your house. Or getting up & checking on your family to make sure they’re breathing & not hurt. Or waking up every morning at 5am, which is probably some sort of muscle memory or subconscious reaction, & going over that game plan you have. Crystal is definitely a strong & brave young woman, but she shouldn’t of had to be at that age. Her biggest concern should’ve been who she would invite to her birthday party or who’s house will they have their next sleepover at. It’s so sad when a child loses their innocence bc of a violent crime or SA. SMH, she’s survived more by age 10/11 than most will in their lifetime ❤

The victim that wanted to help get him some food, where he came inside her house even when instructed not too, she actually survived the attack. His victims before her they couldn't be proven. That's why he only recieved a 5yr sentence. For the rape and attemped murder.
@sagebryant786 Жыл бұрын
Part of why he didn't get caught was because the early 90's even the mid to late 90's DNA was still new and having the kinks worked out plus he was going from state to state and people like that they somehow go unnoticed they make no real impact on anyone with like marriage and friendship so it's harder to see them. Krystal is amazing and I hope she has found happiness and has forgiven the guilt she feels for surviving. She saved countless lives. This was a hard case to hear but is definitely an inspiration thank you so much for covering it. Goes to show monsters do exist but they can be defeated and heroes don't need capes.

Tommy's life would've been so much different had his mother actually been a mother. She should have let him be adopted by his aunt because there he would have been loved and nurtured and he would have been taught the difference between right and wrong. He would not have become uneducated by 7 years old nor would he have been an alcoholic and he would not have been sold as a s*xslave by his so-called mother to that man. I have heard other videos and podcast that the guy that abused him at 7 years old was allowed to because that was his mother's drug dealer. I feel so terrible for all of these victims and may all of their blood be on his mother's hands because of what she had allowed to happen to him at such a young age. And yes Crystal was extremely brave and I hope that she is in a better place in life right now. I feel so sorry for her!

Was there any history? 3. Is he still on death row, is he head? The pregnant lady story is the worst thing I've ever heard of. 😢😢

I just wanted to clarify meningitis. So there's bacterial and viral meningitis. Viral meningitis is caused by a virus but bacterial meningitis is caused by bacteria. Meningitis is inflammation of the menginges. Bacterial meningitis is harder to treat and reverse. Meningitis is diagnosed by testing cerebral spinal fluid, most people know it as a spinal tap. I got viral meningitis while in EMS school and I thought I was dying. It's rough for sure.

Wow, I had heard of this guy and Krystal, but I had no idea about so many of the victims you covered. What a horrible waste of oxygen! One case that I think you'd find interesting is Susan Polk, who killed her husband Felix. It's interesting because he was her psychologist as a child and clearly groomed her, and during her trial, one of her lawyers' wives was murdered. Just messy all around
