Yeah, believe it or not, that doesn't kill him. Yet another failing of the Reclaimer Trilogy game. The didact is killed by the Chief and Blue Team on installation 03. They lured him into a section of the ring, to which the monitor of the installation, 049 Abject Testament then ejected that environment out into space.That was in the comics, by the way. I think, I'm fairly sure that's how it happened.

+Noble VI Yeah, I recall Chief blowing the Didact to oblivion with a lump of halo ring in Escalations. It's just one of the many 'Things You Missed Between Halo 4 and 5'. : There's Chief reuniting with Blue Team, Buck becoming a Spartan, Knights getting an upgrade - try and collect them all!

And freaking The Rookie being killed off because of f- Mickey. I'm sorry that's gotta be the thing I hate most about the new stuff. I'm not against killing off characters, but at least do it properly and in a way that makes logical sense. Mickey: knew the rookie before they were ODSTs. Served alongside him for years. Pain stakingly survived the covenant invasion of earth where the Rookie survived against all odds. Suddenly turned traitor when his father whom he basically never knew was leader of the URF, gets the Rookie killed in the process and then begs Buck to kill him instead of standing court martial. Yeah, Fuck that. That's just stupid.

I still can't believe that. I mean, when you get killed off in Reach, it was in a blaze of glory at the end of what we all knew was a doomed battle. Personally, I'm not fond of killing off characters that have the potential for more. Rookie could have come back in an ODST sequel for example. And besides - what did the Rookie do to warrant getting killed off as a character?
