Mister Smiley I just played through every single halo game, halo wars 1 and 2 included, on legendary. They really aren't that bad. And if you can get through halo 2 legendary you can do anything. Jackals with beam rifles on halo 2 legendary are probably the worst enemy imaginable.

To me on Halo 2 the worst mission on Legendary, well not worst mission it's the worst part. It's the part where you're in High Charity and it's during the Great Schism. The part where you got to cross the bridge, at one end where the Shade Turret is. That's the easy part dealing with the Shade. Then you got two-three Elites with Beam Rifles and two Hunters to deal with across a bridge with so little cover you pop out you're dead. But that's off topic. GRUNTS ARE BAD IN LEGENDARY.
