@@nicknikki1991 no flesh eating Zombies have also been there for a very long time .. for example , in a Bible the goddess of love and war named " Ishtar " once threatened the people of Mesopotamia that she would bring dead people back to life again but as cannibals ! Also draugrs are monsters from norse mythology who basically were dead people came back to life as flesh eating and bloodthirsty undead human bodies ! But their main purpose was supposedly revenge ! They were really strong ! Infact stronger than the " modern " Zombies !

Fun Fact: Night of the Living Dead was originally meant to be titled "Night of the Flesh Eaters". However they realized that title was too close to another film called "The Flesh Eaters" so they changed it to the one we all know. Unfortunately during the title switch they forgot to add a new copyright notice, so the movie automatically entered the public domain upon its release.

so sad so sad i remember seeing those 2 guys who worked on the film forgot who they were and they looked like they were on the verge of crying cause they missed out on all that fortune they could of had if they had a copyright. sorry for them.

Cumberland is a real city in western Maryland. I live in a small town across the Potomac River from Cumberland. Little known fact- George Romero got his start in the entertainment industry by working on "Mr. Rogers's Neighborhood".

I actually was in the remake of the Crazies when it filmed in Iowa. I worked on and off for 6 weeks. I was on active duty at the time. At the start of the second week I worked pretty much most of the time with Timothy Olyphant. They wanted someone bigger than him to be dragging him around. I worked just two days with Rhoda Mitchell. I am the soldier that drags her onto the bus and pushes her into the seat. I then stand over them in the aisle. Tim was a super nice guy and made a point the first night I worked with him to know my name and remember me through out the shoot. When they did the premiere I was deployed

Romero is the king of the Zombie genre, not only were the movies brilliantly done, but they also had social and political undertones. He set the bar for that type of horror movie, but few have done a good job of trying to top his movies.

Was wondering if you were going to hit that up. Monroeville Mall was my home mall for many years . Some where there is apic of me at the fountain the first year it was open . When i was a young teen is when they filmed Dawn and i used to ice skate at the rink. A friend who was into more professional skating would take VERY early morning lessons and i remember her telling me that it was very creepy to come out of her instruction time and see all these people milling around dressed as zombies at like 6 in the morning. Shows how hard it is to film at a public place. Props to the crew members for that movie for setting up and cleaning up everyday. Met George once or twice. ..nice guy. Cant wait to see where you head next.

Of course this is all technicalities. He mentions Zombie Zombie for the zx spectrum being the first zombie game released in 1984... However the real first game was by technicality the game "Death Race" in 1976. The technicality was that the game was perceived you would run over humans with a car to earn points. However is thought to be too much for the public so they reworked its "story" into instead of humans the stick figures represent Zombies.
