"The Lone Ranger" also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.

Have you seen the movie? And mid you Gore Verbinski is directing, his direction is great and so are the stories in his movies. Take Rango for example, although it isn't funny it has a brilliant story relevant to the Old West and today. The cinematography in that movie was beautiful despite it being animated. He really understands the Old West and its beauties. Don't base yourself off of a trailer if there is one thing you should have learned by now is that Disney sucks at making trailers.

Disney are releasing new Star Wars movies starting in 2015, and are even planning to release several Star Wars movies each year. As with Marvel and Pixar, Disney did not buy them up to shut them down but to make them flourish.

And you just said it yourself, times have changed, and for the worse sometimes. When before people went to the movies for the movie, now people go to the movies for the actors or actresses in it. And people are usually immediately turned off with a movie that has the Disney name on it because some expect it to be childish, and Disney knows that, which is why they have been letting go of the material harness as of late, look at Pirates of the Caribbean, those were pretty damn violent

Marvel Studio's handled the Avengers. Disney bought Marvel Studio's but they have a hands off approach with the successful studio. Disney didn't interfere with Kevin Feige or Joss Whedon during the production of the Avengers. Disney handled the marketing but not the making of. It's Kevin and joss's vision all the way.

haha they even have the William Tell Overture in it, i'm sure it'll be great. And seeing how well Disney handled the Avengers although not many people know they did, I have no reason to fret about Star Wars. It all depends on the director and I don't think they could have chosen a better one than J.J. Abrams, he grew up on the classic trilogy so he'll know what made those awesome, and hey, it can't be any worse than the prequel trilogy am I right?:)

I do agree that they should use NA actors. Depp may have some NA blood but he sure is white to the entire world. What he is doing is technically yellow-facing, or in this case, red-facing.

They didn't make the Avengers that was Kevin Feige and Joss Whedon all the way. Disney bought Marvel comic's and Marvel studio's but they have a hands off approach with the studio. Thinking, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Kevin Feige produces and Joss Whedon wrote and directed. Kevin and Joss also consulted together on Thor and Captain America to make sure those films would link into the Avengers. Disney distributed and marketed the film.

Heh, didn't know they did The Avengers. That was good. I didn't think the prequels were that bad. Yeah, they could've been better. How they handled Anakin turning into Darth Vader was pretty atrocious I must say. I think they could have made 6 prequels and made a better story. However, I still found them entertaining at least. It's a tall order living up to the first 3.

Bullshit! How many people were famous in Star Wars? How many were famous in Lord of the Rings? That's just the problem. Money guides Disney's endeavors and not good film making. They will settle for the guaranteed crowd that Depp will bring at the expense of the movie because it's the safe decision. What they don't get is that good film making will bring good money. It's not about the actors. If the film is good, it will stand on it's own and make the actors famous.
