You guys in the U.S. are so fortunate to have wide open spaces and no sign of civilisation for tens of miles at least in those areas. In Europe (especially in densely populated Switzerland, my country) the next village or town in just a few miles from the previous one, and virtually all the interesting trails or gravel roads are prohibited to motorists.

We are blessed. Absolutely blessed. I could never ride everything that is here in the USA. I hope we keep our freedom to ride.

In Nevada, it's hundreds of miles in between some towns.

I've loved following your adventure! I'm a truck driver and kept hoping I'd cross paths with you, but I always seem to be north. I'm in ID, heading back to the Midwest, while you're down south 🙄. Ride safe brother!

Tim ! Glad you are joining the adventure here. I’m sure our paths will cross at some point. We are always zig zagging this country. Keep in touch bro

@BrockGill no problem, Brock. I'm loving it, mate. Just a quick question...when you set off,it looked as if it was early spring, cold, dark and damp. Now, after 28 or 29 episodes, it looks very summery. What time of year did you do your trip?
@MotoMission. Жыл бұрын
Good catch. You are observant. Here was my journey. I started in April in Virginia Beach. Rode to Nashville where I live. Took a break and went back to work. Then in July I left Nashville and rode to Oregon coast. And slowly made my way back home. Got home middle September. The plan was to try it out and see if I needed to make changes to my bike or gear or systems. I learned a lot. And was prepared to go

I'm curious as to whose route you are using? We stayed in baker but were on gps Kevin's route which went to Lund, then Eureka and Battle mountain but never Wendover. Corello bypassed nevada a few years back and now uses southern Idaho. So are you just picking and choosing?
@MotoMission. Жыл бұрын
We rode kevin. But switched to Sam. Much of the route overlapped. But we wanted to finish it on Sam’s route. I talked to many riders along the way. I don’t think there is a bad route. We had to avoid some mud and flooded roads. And some road closures along the way. But 99.9% was the tat. I think we switched to Sam somewhere in nevada.
