Hinterland, I strongly recommend that you guys write a novel base on your game! This is just amazing story telling just like the Metro series of game, or perhaps adding weapon modified system which allows you to not only use the iron sight, but something that's easier to aim at. Anyway amazing game! thank you all for your hard works!

I like the fact that the basic weapons aren't modded to make aiming easier. To me, it goes hand in hand with the brutal nature of survival. In many ways, it's like the arduous process of learning how to fight in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It's not just handed to you - you've got to work for it, you've got to practice just as someone would IRL

This game has had me hooked since it was still just the survival mode on Steam. Bought it on 3 platforms to support these awesome devs. I can't wait to see more from you all, and hope you're staying healthy and safe. Last chapter was my fav and the new chapter looks amazing. So this got me to looking up Elias Toufexis, voicing Mathis here, and who a lot of us have known as Adam Jensen of Deus Ex. It seems he's been involved with the Long Dark since 2014. Wikipedia has him shown voicing the bear. I am suddenly more scared of bear attacks in the game now.

The bear in TLD has scared me more than any other bears in video games. I also love the fact that David Hayter voiced Jeremiah too and I think Will & Astrid's actors also did the Mass Effect games, so great talent all around :)

I get wanting to make this episode hard, but it's borderline unplayable. Walk 2 mins, get chased by wolves. Try to go around, get chased by different wolves. Try a 3rd way, chased off by more wolves.

I was in the middle of the Archivist challenge yesterday afternoon when I see a notification pop up that the game is updating (PS5). I exit and let it finish, then lo and behold, I get to start Episode 4!!! So far, it is even more riveting and challenging than the previous episodes. I remember years ago, when I played this game in alpha... I was so young. In my 8th run on Stalker, the hardest mode at the time, I ended up surviving for 104 days... I travelled through Mystery Lake, Coastal Highway, slowly improvising and adapting to the rhythms of the new world... give the wolves a wide berth, NEVER carry raw meat if you can cook it, wait for the deer to stop and look around, before you fire the arrow... I felt like I was a part of the ecosystem, now. I was determined to get to Desolation point, and from there, the ultimate challenge... Timberwolf Mountain. I forged on, and on, repairing, fishing, creating, questing... until on the hundred-and-fourth day, I was attacked by a pair of wolves, making my way through Old Island Connector, and just like that... it was over. It was so... anticlimactic, like my story wasn't supposed to finish there, but the world just didn't care. That was just what happened, and now it was over. It felt so real. Too real. I tried starting again... and it felt wrong. I felt as if I wasn't supposed to be there... because I had died. I was suddenly transported, and expected to start over in a new body, in a new place, and I thought "No... this isn't me. I'm dead." Everything that I had, everything I knew, everything I was... he died of shock and blood loss, screaming, and clutching his bleeding neck, between a rock wall and a snow-covered abandoned car, on that old, broken highway. I took almost a year off playing, after that. No game had ever made me feel like that before. I don't know if another one ever will. What I do know is that this game is a triumph. Thank you, Hinterland.

I’m just finally getting back into the long dark, I’m loving it again after 3 years of mostly being absent. No idea if you’ll read this but I think it’d be a neat idea if you put a breathing mask into the game for when you’re on high mountains, cause I know in real life mountain climbers on Everest need a special gas mask type thing for breathing that high in the atmosphere and with how the world is out of wack in the long dark could be a reason for increased pressure in the atmosphere or something like that, just a thought. Can’t wait to play this episode!
