I didn't try the bow because I have ammo in my rifle sooo.... ...it's gonna be a matter of time until I find out if that's even frustrating or rather satisfying gameplay-wise.

Been waiting for episode three since 2017. I've replayed both episode before and after the redux and I'm still waiting on that third episode. The one thing I want in survival mode is shelter building, right now we only have the snow shelter.

@@chase573 - I hope more people join their team, this game needs more than what it has right now. To be fair this is the best survival game I have ever played, but I eventually get bored of it. The only thing that brings me back are updates like this, but it's still not enough for the amount of time we have to wait to receive one. I am grateful for their efforts and support, they even responded to my bug report on wrist and ankle sprains and look a sprain system overhaul a few months later, now that makes me happy.

wolf charging ? quickly drop 1 meat, step back 3 steps, and the wolf will move slowly again toward the meat, rifle aim, boom, free 3kg meat

If you wait till it charges to drop the bait then your waiting to long but it's a good way to get an easy shot/kill & turn even bad meat into a meal. Otherwise I'd just save the meat & shoot if it's already charging just to be safe/practical

Love this game, I've never had so many "movie moments" in a game before, like having to abort a climb and falling off j7st rope just before I could reach the bottom, the animal attacks are very cinematic, and being Canadian I know what it's like to have to wear 4+ layers in the freezing cold

adding vehicle will be a cool concept because you could probably use it for driving or you could strip the car battery and other stuff and craft or use it for something and it could be a place for looting

An Nub Well the idea is that everything that relies on electricity doesn’t work. That’s why cars don’t run and there’s no power at all except during the aurora, and even then it’s intermittent. Theoretically one could strip wires or parts for scrap, binding material, etc. But of course there are limits to what we can interact with and scavenge - they have to balance realism with the challenge of limited resources.

Hey! i love the new update, but there is a couple things that the longtime players have awaited for a while. We've wanted a couple new animals, such as mountain lions/cougars and foxes. the few animals we have are great but if you think about it theres only 5 animals you can really interact with. Maybe add a scope that you can add to the rifle with an advanced tools kit. The scope would be really rare, but would allow you to shoot farther distances so you have a lesser chance of spooking the animal. the comment will probably never be sen but oh well.

That's true! The rifle and revolver is enough because the essence of the game is being replaced with a shooting sandbox if you add more guns. So much respect for the developers in having ideas that can improve the game and making it a real survival game as possible.

Why can't painkillers stop the pained voices? Clearly the player has acknowledged the sprain, and the character shouldn't be hurting as much. I won't ever mind the vision but boy would I love to stop hearing those voice lines over and over again.

Painkillers stop the Pain affliction. Bandage addresses the Sprain/Limp. The Sprain/Limp is what is triggering the VO.

As a user, I am looking for an immersive experience in a piece of entertainment software. If your implementation causes UX to be less immersive, then that is not a desirable implementation even if you brush it off as By Design.

@@hinterlandstudio Oh, I totally understand! The video was clear. My humble onion is that it makes more sense for the painkillers to address the VO, and the bandage address the limp alone. Possibly either one could stop the VO, tbh. Thanks for reading anyway!

TLD is a great game in many ways but I think the best thing about it is how alone and isolated you feel while you play, really good for people with anxiety issues to unwind after a busy day. I will arrive at 100 days survived on Interloper soon and I hope to take my latest Loper to the 500 day achievement. Good luck my fellow survivors and may the wolves not catch your scent.
