The Long Dark - Interloper 500 - Part 39

After surviving The Long Dark for 500 Days on Stalker mode...it's time to try the same on Interloper. There will be no firearms, looted hatchets or knives. We must make our own defenses and tools in order to survive this self-imposed challenge. It's time to see if we achieve victory or die a horrible death like everyone else on Great Bear Island.

The Long Dark Interloper is the hardest mode in Sandbox mode (The other difficulties are Pilgrim, Voyager and Stalker). The game describes that this mode is "For expert players looking for the ultimate wilderness Survival challenge."
In The Long Dark Interloper difficulty, you start with the most minimal resources, supplies are very scarce and Wildlife is rare, but it is more dangerous
- Interloper was a new game difficulty, introduced in v.364.
- The world becomes more hostile to you as you play. Global temperature drops, wildlife and fuel resources become more scarce, and Blizzards become more frequent.
- Apart from the Hacksaw and Hammer, which spawn rarely in the world, you need to create all your own improvised tools (ex. Hatchets, Knives, etc.).
- The best Clothing and Food items do not spawn.
- Wolves are more rare, but also more deadly.
- Wildlife becomes more rare over time.
- There are no firearms in the world.

Adding a torch to a fire doesn't add any time to the fire. Tear the torch apart to get a stick and add the stick for more time to the fire.

And by the way, you can collect the coal by the entrance to the cave. You just need to walk into it deep enough, face the other direction and try to aim at the coal, it'll give you the option of picking it up

The cave you went into goes all the way to bleak inlet. You likely missed a ton of coal. There is a climbing spot in the cave by the bed.

Make sure that you are not using limited colors in nvidia, thats common mistake for hdmi connection with pc monitor Go to NVIDIA control panel (Display section > change resolution, Pos 3. in very bottom) Select - Use NVIDIA color settings, and for PC monitor FULL should be selected.

Wolves can be helpful. I use them to hunt deer. Got 3 of them killed in one spot the other night, wolves helped with 2 of them and the other one had to be shot with the bow. The only problem was - I had to leave them in the blizzard and now the carcasses are all frozen, I'll figure something out though. They are by the dam in Mystery Lake

I seen many people do co-op on Hell divers II, and it seems like it's more that's why the game was created for, but I've never seen a single player game yet, is that your intention?? Try single player, if so ..... I'm watchin' it.
