TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY, Part Two is coming to Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, and PlayStation on March 30th. The latest update features fantastic new content and gameplay for anyone who owns the Expansion Pass, including a new Tale, Bunkers, Handheld Shortwave, Clothing items, and more.
TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY features the first paid content for THE LONG DARK, significantly adding to the world of Great Bear Island and the game's core Survival foundation. New Parts will be added regularly over the course of the 12-month Expansion Pass campaign, featuring new Regions, new Gameplay, and new objective-based Tales. Each Part will also contain free updates for anyone who owns SURVIVAL EDITION.

Hinterland has made a call for concept artists to draw up a space themed game just a few weeks ago.

It says: "At Hinterland, we are world creators. We are looking for a talented Environment Concept Artist to help us set the tone and style of our new original science-fiction IP, code-named “Project Hummingbird”. We need someone with a distinct flair for world-building, and a deep passion for thought-provoking science-fiction." Science fiction =/= "space themed". Science fiction is much more than space and spaceships and robots. It's fiction based on existing and theoretical science, which covers much more than just space and little grey men in flying saucers..

Velasco's "Crossroads Elegy" (e.g. 'Hesitant Prospect Main Menu Theme' among other iterations) is one of the most thoughtful piano pieces I've ever heard in a video game. Stunning stuff. I notice the music constantly and still after years playing. :) Cheers.

Found The Long Dark last year around October. Currently somewhere in coastal highway 280 days in and wondering why I never heard about this game earlier. The last time I had this level of enjoyment and passion for a game I was going to somewhere called Icecrown Citadel.. Absolutely loving this game.

seems that way. this so called "update" doesn't really add nothing if you have to take it this way. in regards to this dlc, hinterland knows how to tease the players, but just that. 1st update was just the map. and 4months later, another mediocre update. ppl still cheering hinterland, when in fact, i don't know how much will it take for them (maybe years) to release what they promised to release in 12 months. very disapointing tbh

One of the best investments I've ever made was buying the Long Dark on early access/alpha in 2015. I will never be one of the 500+ day survivors, but I love everything about the game. I'd love a LD2, but I'm not sure what would make it better to be honest. Is it multiplayer? Base building? Better graphics? A more realistic world? The magic of this game is that it always changes, but never changes.

Please add new DANGER MODE on Survival : 3 arrows to kill wolf, 10 arrows to kill a bear, 6 arrow to kill a mouse, increase wild animals ratio 3 times more on each map that to move anywhere you will get all time wildlife. Group snow wolf add to basic maps, not only at map where can craft amunition, Snow storm all time at night added to increase difficult, to find shelter for all night all time, add new wild animal - squirels running on trees, to allow made a earing homemade, or small carry bag what increase 1 kg to carry. Add to castaway map and all lake region - Pinquins that potentially drop a egg to cook, and able to create leather ,only at game is option to harvest boots to repair boots. Allow to paint your equipment by paint -color for each individual, bleue, yellow, red, specially when crafting choose color. Canadian lynx will should add aswell to game hunt for squirells or rabbits on ground, have extremely smell distance and also like fish, so maybe also add somewhere near lakes.

Co Op would be awesome, either with the story, or just the survival.. or both eventually, one person could be Astrid and the other could be Will. Some things might have to be redone a bit, but overall I think it would be neat~ and as much as it would redefine the game, having respawns would be neat so if one person dies you maybe have to wait a few in game days for them to be able to come back?.. even if my idea for that was dumb, I still think Co Op would be super awesome

MY PROGRESS IN WINTERMUTE DOESN'T SHOW UP ANYMORE: I'm currently in episode 3 and saved the third and last person due to the storm ahead, but in-game it says that 0/3 passengers are rescued. I can't get further to the next story mission because it won't refresh my progress of the mission. Has this anything to do with the TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY update issues? Please write back.
