In this video I'm spending a whole day sitting in a kayak for the longest paddle down the local, Mathew Reynolds and I are in search of some new water holding the bigger bass. With all the flood events the past couple of years the bass have been able to move freely around the catchment but with drought conditions starting to take affect we go in search of fish stuck in the surrounding waters of the weirs. These man-made barriers are a necessary evil that help farmers through these hard times but hinder the natural life cycle of Australian bass and cause unnatural aggregations of fish stuck between the walls.
