Have family in North Platte, McCook, and Broken Bow (about 70 miles Northwest Grand Island). Travel I-80 from Davenport, Iowa to Grand Island. I live in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This stretch of I-80 between Lincoln and G.I. (the locals call Grand Island G.I. for short) does get boring after awhile after many times driving it eastbound and westbound, but I still like going that way.

I totally agree! People think I’m crazy but I do enjoy driving I-80 through Nebraska. I stayed in North Platte on the way back and it is a very nice town!

I-80 between the Platte River and Lincoln, NE sure is straight. I've never seen a straight Interstate highway portion in nature before.
