It's an adaptation of the original movie from 74. This one is a remake.

BOTH MOVIES the new and old....the warden hands the rifle to the captain WHO IS WEARING PADS, which changes your body shape, AND YOU CANNOT PUT THE RIFLE STOCK AGAINST YOUR SHOULDER.
@jonblankenship59084 ай бұрын
They both also realized that crewe stopped to pick up the 🏈 because in every football win the game ball is awarded to the individual that has the best performance however Crewe gave the 🏈 to the warden and told him to "stick this into your trophy case."

But also if football pads are anything like army vest then it actually helps compliments your securing it to your shoulder but standing sniper position is forever the hardest to pull off that’s why drop to a knee or prone
@fooman21083 ай бұрын
@huntermillz never tried to use a rifle in my pads in high-school, but I do know they did change my range of motion, and upper pads, designed to minimize injuries to suicidal tackles collar bones would have made that hard.

@@fooman2108 I feel u man but in the army with the vest it actually helped me lining up my target

What planet are we on that a Warden would order his Chief to fire a high-powered rifle at an "escaping" prisoner with civilians in the firing area? Also not very realistic for the reason the Chief would just signal all the cops standing around to tackle him. Make for okay movie, tho.

If the officer *had* pulled the trigger… then the warden being embarrassed by the loss would have been the least of his concerns. A prison guard who fires a weapon is *legally* responsible for any civilians who are hit by the bullet… ie should he miss or the bullet hypothetically passes through the prisoner and hits a civilian.

Not sure why they remade this when the original was a classic. This was not in the same class.
@JM-db8ez4 ай бұрын
Same class? What class is that, exactly? Boomer 101? I can say that with a straight face as a Gen-X who's just a few years younger than my boomer brothers. The original in '74 was a good flick. This one from 2005 was a good flick. Even Burt was on board, and Sandler is a pretty good talent. I think you're just doing that whole old person "glory days" bullsh!t. Both movies are a good watch.

Both the original and remake were good in their own right. Unlike the Karate Kid remake
