The LONNNNG Journey Down the Branch! - Duke Farms Eagles (5/17)

I almost thought we had a fledge today, but I kept seeing those tail feathers wiggling just at the top of the camera view. Looks like the trips down that branch are getting longer every day! Glad to see we had a cam op attentive to the new action on the nest. Great new angle for the impending flight, which isn't too far off now!

This video was so cool to watch. I don’t know which Eaglwt it is but, that one just loves to jump up onto that branch and go as high as he/she can go while the other juwt wants to lay in the nest and chill out and maybe either snooze or watch its sibling go up and down the limb. Thanks Whimsy for the video. I’m a bit behind on a lot of videos that I have been sent to by other cams too. These two sure are growing so big and it seems to me too (correct me if I’m wrong) but, one looks like it’s either a real dark brown or black Eaglet while the other is definitely a brown Eaglet. Their branching progress has been so much fun to watch & it really is highlighting the differences in their personalities. As far as their coloring - may be just differences in the lighting? Not sure - but definitely a cool observation - and unique!
