In which John stuns the world by answering real questions from real nerdfighters in an airport on his way to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Issues discusses include John's anxiety around the WEF, his excitement about visiting the setting of Thomas Mann's novel The Magic Mountain, how dogs should wear pants, the Looking for Alaska movie, his new story, the still not technically real U.S. Presidential election, and more.

Yeah but I'm currently reading it again and she was kind of cringeworthy in her edginess. Like, yeah she was super depressed, but she expressed it in a very emo-middle-schooler way. Still a fantastic novel though.

OH my god, so I feel like I personally know a celebrity now. I started watching crash course world history, about 3 years ago while avoiding studying for my classics midterm. Eventually I started watching more crash course series, then started enjoying Vlog Brothers and am now an avid subscriber. Over the course of that time, I gradually picked up on things about you and your brother, and that you were a writer, and had written at least one book "Looking for Alaska" which I had never heard of, and kind of figured was strongly supported by your youtube fan base. Then BAM out of nowhere, this video and you casually mention the fault in our stars, then BOOM it all falls together, your not just youtube famous, you're famous famous, and now I feel like I know a celebrity, even though I never knew you at all. Thats all, we can be BFFs if you want, come visit me in Canada some time, we can have some poutine and interesting conversation. Keep being awesome, and talking fast! :D

Book Title Idea: "Leaning Together" It's a line from The Hollow Men, and it's always brought to mind a really poignant mental image for me? Like, it is far from the most ostentatious line in an of Eliot's poems, but it's very evocative in it's simplicity, and I think a very important concept to remember in times like this. +vlogbrothers even though the tagging prolly doesn't work anymore.

Titles I have been saving but will lend to you: Cocktails and a Fresh Box of Crayons- comes from a Robert Fulghum quote. Brown Paper Packages- just has a nice ring to it. Also the song it comes from is pretty enjoyable. What We Presume/Things Presumed/etc.- Reference to T. S. Eliot's Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock I'll be the Boy- reference to kids role-playing house, switching up gender norms, etc Albatross- not only an interesting and large bird, but also a metaphor for a huge psychological burden. This metaphor comes from a poem, "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, which is itself full of quotable and title-worthy lines.

I want to say that you, man that is just ordinairy for people that did not have the pleasure of reading your books, are one of the little things (or in this case: one small human being in a world full of people that won't matter because of the inevitable oblivion) that have become a big matter to present me, every other loyal reader and, obviously, the nerdfighters. Because despite oblivion, we all get a time to live in, and I think we should use that time wisely by searching for the little things that are (or become) great to us. Thank you.
