New research suggests that, contrary to popular belief, men are often more emotionally attached in their marriages than women and so are “more vulnerable if they lose them”. A Daily Mail article has claimed that this supports the idea that women handle divorce better than men. In fact, divorced men are prone to deeper depressions and more likely to drink excessively.
