Good question! You can but you can't attack the same enemy twice with the same character!
@GOOSEYGOGGLESVR Жыл бұрын
Yer it's a weird ruling, as you as the player can't declare multiple attacks the same enemy, but I believe a character can contribute to the same attack as many times as the rules allow. I'm just not certain on it.

You state that you cannot block with more than 1 character at a time; is this for any situation or is it the case that you can only block an enemy with 1 character each. So in a combat phase 1 player could block with two characters at a time but only if two enemies are attacking that player? So those both characters are blocking 1 enemy each?
@OneStopCoopShop6 жыл бұрын
Think of it this way. You can attack as a group but you can only defend with 1 character at a time. You declare your defender and then reveal the shadow card. When you attak you can pool attack points together so you can get past those high defenses. Does that help?
@daleprosser3506 жыл бұрын
One Stop Co-op Shop Kinda. Say I'm in a 2 player game and I have two enemies engaging me; would I be able to block both of them with 2 different blockers but 1 at a time? So block the first attacking enemy with Aragorn then resolve it, then block the other attacking enemy with Gloin then resolve it. Would that be legal?
@daleprosser3506 жыл бұрын
So essentially, you can defend more than once as long as you only use 1 character at a time and do them consecutively and not simultaneously?
@OneStopCoopShop6 жыл бұрын
Yes! Each enemy can be blocked by 1 character. Also to block you have to exhaust the character so I cannot block 2 enemies with the same character baring special abilities.
@daleprosser3506 жыл бұрын

For the location with Travel : choose and engage an ennemi to travel to this location, I don't think you can travel if you engage zero ennemy.
@OneStopCoopShop6 жыл бұрын
You are SO RIGHT! It seems like such a silly rule, but I looked it up and you got it. I will make a note!
@hashedone6 жыл бұрын
Disagree. This card resolves some effect on condition (eg. while traveling to this location). Compare this with other card: www.cardgamedb.com/index.php/lotr/lord-of-the-rings-card-spoiler/_/shadows-of-mirkwood/the-hills-of-emyn-muil/the-highlands-thoem - here you have obligatory action which have to be taken to perform travel. Hovewer spelling is not the best part of this game, maybe some FAQ explains this case better - if I am right, better spelling would be: "Forced: while traveling to chetwood forest...", but still I think this doesn't prevent traveling if this effect cannot occure - just because of "The Highlands" spelling.
@eddyvanman3856 жыл бұрын
The original rule on page 23 of the Learn to Play rulebook makes it pretty clear: Travel Effects: Some location cards have travel effects, which are denoted by a bold “Travel:” trigger on a card. Travel effects are costs or restrictions that some or all players must pay or meet in order to travel to that location. If the players cannot fulfill the requirement of a location’s travel effect, the players cannot travel to that location.
