If you think big picture, the Apex Games are still games. The curators modify what the players can and can't do inside to maintain balance. That's why certain abilities that don't seem to need to have cooldowns do. Revenant's tactical ability just stops enemy players from being *allowed* to use their abilities. Ultimate accelerants just allow the player to use their ult sooner. Lifeline's care package is the same as a normal care package, she just sets the location for the game controllers to drop one. Bangalore and Gibraltar do the same thing, but with airstrikes. The games do have rules, all games do. It wouldn't be fun to watch if the same person won every time, would it?

Even if Revenant is a crazy hitman if he want's to play in the games, he has to abide by cooldowns balanced by the Apex Games on when he can use his powers, or he'll be disqualified, probably killed.

Cooldowns surely have to be enforced since the legends are allowed to request orbital strikes and detonate EMPs and probably would infinitely if given the chance. Surely the game has some rules even if they are very lax

I did something like that today in a game, I got respawned by a teammate and they got rushed so I was in enemy territory with my ally Wraith’s portal covered in hostile Bangalore smoke. I ran to the portal to escape but they chased me and since I had no weapons and my caustic traps weren’t ready yet, I just melee hit the Bangalore and the Gibby that were chasing me; they slid back into the portal and I felt like such a badass. Unfortunately my traps weren’t ready still and since Caustic isn’t exactly a speed demon, they came back through the portal and shot me dead lmao

For how ultimates charge and interact with Accelerants, I had an idea related to titanfall, and titans in general. In titanfall When you call down a titan it starts with no charge towards its core abilities, so personally I took the concept that core abilities have to charge up in the literal sense of needing power to build before they can be used effectively, so to explain why Titanfall occurs and the titan has no power towards its core after it initially drops, I went with the idea that the two kinds of titanfall you have, Warp drive and Dome shield, is the titan diverting its core charge into its boosters, or its shields. So if a warpfall is happening it boosts its thrusters, overdriving it and Warpfall is just it dumping power into thrusters, the titan drops and it blasts its overcharged thrusters to drop faster. And with shields, they overcharge their shield generators so that when it lands, it creates an overshield thats super charged. And that's why a titan has no charge when it drops. It needs to use its core to safely or quickly deploy, and then it begins recharging after its on the ground. And maybe having core active for too long is damaging to the systems, kinda like how if you overdrive an electrical system beyond its normal parameters you start to overheat it so you can do that for a short time to get better performance but then it starts to cause issues. I guess with Legends, your Ultimate accelerant works in a similar way to batteries and titan cores, it boosts the power you can divert to your systems. Pretty much all abilities in the game ARE based in electrics, you could even argue that things like stim are electric too, since octane doesnt actually depress a plunger when he stims, the syringe seems to automatically depress itself to juice him up, so I think you can explain Revenant, ult accelerants and other abilities in similar ways. Revs silence for example is like a small grenade, it could be either a small scale EMP or a computer based hack? When it hits you it overrides your systems and prevents your equipment from working, but it doesn't really affect passive abilities so, Octanes heal not being affected and Lifelines faster heal being fine still works with lore, since octanes healing is a result of his stims still being in his body and his built in filters helping to accelerate mending and Lifeline can be explained because she's a doctor so she spends more time using healing items, so shes more efficient at them Obviously, not a perfect explanation but still one that works relatively well. All the things in Apex and Titanfall seem to have their own built in power source that maybe generates its own power over time, but it can be short circuited or temporarily hacked to silence. Maybe Revenants tactical grenade sends out a partitioned command to the enemy equipment to deactivate, or to delay signals.

Caustics corneas have tech in them, if you get him to stand in a dark corner his eyes glow. Also his traps were likely used for pesticide purposes (much like mouse traps but war criminal style). Idk about the grenade, seems like it was also manufactured by humbert because the grenade has directions on it. Why would the grenade have directions on it if caustic made it? Edit: caustic made the traps for the games likely, because his banners show prototype versions.

His abilities probably came from the syndicate themselves who gave him abilities to use in the games based on his personality. My theory is that they did that with all the legends and that's why Bangalore has airstrikes without having connection to her unit, the owners of the games gave her that ability because it made sense to her backstory. This could also explain cooldowns which could be set by the owners to make things fair. It's possible they buff and nerf these legends abilities too

My theory for Revenant is that he was fitted with technology the made him "immortal" in a sense. This is why he can become a shadow. Once he found out the truth, he began to harness this technology. The tactical is using the technology so it can overloads the legends technology, while the ultimate is him creating a device that makes the immortal ability available temporary.

Bloodhound uses something like thermal tracking. But still im not sure how it works. Since the sun does not interfere with his tracking device. His ultimate is like doping it enhances his sensors reflexes Wraith how it looks like she is crossing between dimensions. But her sensing warning signal im not sure how to explain. Its probably searching with a dimension with 100% same outcome as her and shes able to spot and report. Still i cant explain that maybe instant mind swap with her other counter part from a different dimension that spotted the threat. Other heroes use more advanced that that is possible

Some extra info on stim in titanfall: It is usually used by a pilot simulacrum (example is revenant), not humans, because the stim can significantly damage the human body. That is why octanes stim is slower than titanfalls and deals damage instead of healing. I personally think he has a diluted stim

For revenant I think he draws energy from the other side because as he states hes been there how his tactical works is he brings energy from the other side and contains it in a device/gadget that he throws and is supposed to make you feel dead, in other words like your in the other side (heaven/hell/idk) by slowing you canceling out your abilities so you cant do anything hence making you feel dead (since it's a game you can obviously shoot and stuff otherwise that's just unfair, but im looking at thus from the lore point of view)his ultimate could be a Totem infused with the energy from the other side when you turn into a shadow it kills you but anchors your soul to it and when your shadow dies it restabilizes your soul and boom your alive again how it gets there revenant just opens a gateway between the two plains .he can gather the energy from the other side with his new body and energy he probably gaind from being to the other side.

If you played titanfall and watched the lore to it, you could understand the entire story of the IMC and Militia fight. That is what the campaign is all about. Look into that and it fills a lot of holes within the apex lore mainly because they are connected of course,

I think when someone applies for the games they probably get vetted for abilities and reputation etc, so all the third party abilities were probably modified or given by the syndicate to ensure better publicity (and thus more support and money) for the legends. Gibby is hyper defensive so they gave him a orbit strike to meet his larger then life personality (and possibly to make him feel bad for doing it, after all they are criminals, but after he found out he can’t actually kill them or anything he endorsed it). Bang is a combatant and probably requested a arty call in from a force of habit. Lifeline is a support her (assuming modified) D.O.C. Unit that they decided that giving her a weapon restricted supply drop was fitting. Revenants Tact is probably a modified grenade that the syndicate created that all legends have some sort of chip that restricts their abilities and just gave it nice optical things. As for his Ult that’s harder I think a chronological answer is the easiest. During the Halloween event all the legends were registered as shadow clones, cheep weak clones that are able to transfer consciousness temporarily as a test for his introduction to the games.

Especially octane when he said "Alot of titanfall 2 pilots use stim." because all he needs to do is play titanfall 2 multiplayer ONCE and he can see that the only pilots that use stims are robots and that's why they take no damage when using it. Revenant is kinda tied to how pilot regeneration works in titanfall: In titanfall when a pilot regenerates, they copy their consiousness into a robotic body, so they can create more veteran pilots. The downside of doing this, is that they lose their memories.

In most pop culture related examples of teleportation like Wraiths portal, people tend to explain how they work by talking about manipulating space and time together. So for something like Wraiths portal, when you go into the portal it takes you somewhere that time moves faster, or slower. So you can cover more ground in the same length of time. Like placing literal doors between two places while skipping all the space between them. Her portals are a pathway through other dimensions, where the rules there are different is what many authors like to use Or it could just be a wormhole, if I understand wormholes right, they work by bending space and time over, till two points are almost touching. Like scrunching up a piece of paper so that one end is now touching another end, and what was once a long journey across a page, is now as simple as opening a door and stepping through to the otherside. That's probably what they were going for.

I found Revenant's ultimate very interesting with regards to Legends being "killed" but coming back. I would hypothesis that something along the lines of what Revenant's ultimate does is the same technology used to reanimate the Legends after "death". Basically the Legends in actual Apex Games combat are shadows of their actual selves. That way you can keep "killing" them in the games, but they can keep coming back every new game without any actual damage done to them to their real selves. This could also explain why you can have mutiple of the same Legend in the same game.

Octane’s Stim hurts him because it is just harmful to humans. The Pilots in titanfall 2 that have the stim ability are robots. Maybe there was evidence of human pilots using them but I know that in Multiplayer only Robot Pilots have the Stim.

Bangalore’s ultimate is an artillery strike that they apex games set a timer on for fair play and so the games aren’t all over the place for the viewers , they are on constant standby and when the timer has completed the employees will respond to the flair and send the strike on it. Gibraltar has a device that signals drones in orbit to send a orbital bombing strike down to the device and has a timer for fair play too to make the games interesting

About the stim packs in Titanfall, in the first game the pilots using them were humans, but that was probably harmful in the longterm, so in the second game, the stim pilots and the phase shift pilots are robots.

There’s a theory in titanfall where in the battles there is a big ship that’s calls in the titans and a couple of other abilities for the pilots. So for legends like Gibby, lifeline, Bangalore etc. their abilities come from a ship in the sky over the arena. That’s why players can also respawn because the tiny ships come from a bigger ship.

For Revenant’s totem I’d guess that the alien technology used for it is combined with the void technology that Wraith uses, almost like a hybrid version creating an alien-tech-powered Hail Mary. When you activate the totem it could create a private portal which would explain the teleportation and the range it has, the visual affects could be some kind of illusion made from the instantaneous entering and exiting of the void. I’d even say that in Wraith’s abilities where she’s warned by other Wraiths, a similar and more hands-on mechanic could be in place for Revenant where anyone who’s about to die gets yanked back (by other versions of themselves -explains the motive to be yanked-) to their starting position at the last possible second.

I think Revenant's Totem actually can be used to explain how legends never actually die, it's probably some sort of instant cloning/regeneration tech, and Revenant's version might be the prototype or original artifact that this tech is based on which is why his is the only version that has that evil shadow look but the tech used by the syndicate is modified to track all legends in the arena and doesn't have that shadow effect, basically when the legends die they are like Revenant teleported/regenerated somewhere outside the arena.

I think Revenants ability works hand-in-hand with the dimensional technology of Wraith. The totem is a point where the real person is kept in a dimension outside of the games, and a simulacrum copy of yourself is created, and you also control that copy of yours in that dimension. And when that copy dies, you are brought back by the totem out of the alternate dimension and back to the current dimension.

Caustic's gas might introduce some sort of high potency but shot duration contrast, when some one breaths it, thus making said person visible to whomever designed it, while in the gas, via some sort of visual aid device. Marvelous!

With revenants ult, it seems like you give your soul to it, shown by the floating orb that you leave, so it's like your controlling this body from the shadow realm almost as a drone, and when it's destroyed, the totem reconstructs your real body and puts your soul back in it

I think what happens for revenant is that if you saw in the season 5 trailer you can see how revenants old body is in a container thing. I think what happens is that your body(along with your sheild) and your "good" soul gets sucked into the totem. your soul than gets shodowed and is strong enough to hold weapons, but you can heal a soul (thats why you can use heals) and when your shadow soul dies, your body and "good" sould comes back out of the totem.
