Man, I’m so sorry for the loss of one of your family members and cat, that really hard! My aunt’s first or second dog passed away over 4 years ago, it was very sad, as he’d been around with us for a long time. Then in 2020, we lost our grandfather, then my mom lost her grandfather (yes, he lived to I think 102!!), but please none of them to COVID. Good to hear you’re recovering, we’ll pray for you!

My first real RC car was a RC10 gold pan back in the late 80s. I was 9 or 10 and the 6 Gear A-Stamp car was the car to get. When the RC10 with the Stealth came out, I got it and I handed down my 6 gear to my brother. We still have those cars all these years later.

Love this RC. I got mine when it was still under the Vaterra name. Came with the dynamite 3300kv brushless system and spektrum DX2E transmitter. I think the bodies were better under vaterra also. '69 camaro, 2012 camaro, C10 pickup, '69 corvette, 2014 corvette. Man they had some good ones

Question, does this car reverse for you? I have the same one, and haven't driven it in a few months. Pulled it out today, and no reverse. As soon as I hit it the motor just goes quiet until I left off of it. I was wondering if it never had reverse and I just don't remember, or if there's something I need to do to change the transmitter to allow for reverse. Also, did you move over the servo port to the Lipo side? I just saw something about that in the manual and I have yet to do that.

Yes, I put the ESC in lipo mode. This ESC might have a forward/neutral/ reverse and reverse/brake jumper, but I can’t remember. To answer your question, yes. It has reverse. Moving the jumper wire to “lipo mode” just enables a low voltage cut-off. It basically just prevents you from running your battery below a certain voltage. You never want to completely drain a LiPo… as opposed to a NiMH battery that you DO want to drain completely.

@@codykirk3541 A little late here, but I had the same problem, I actually dropped my remote and it some how sent the throttle trim out of whack. My camaro took off with no throttle input. Anyway, after I turned off the car and was holding it in the air with the wheels off the ground, I readjusted the the throttle trim so it did not go forward on its own, but then I did not have reverse. So I picked up the car again, holding the wheels off the ground, adjusted the throttle trim so it would go in reverse ever so slowly, and then clicked one up to stop it from going in reverse. I then had reverse back. I think I might have also turned off and on the radio after each step. My Losi Camaro now works normally. I hope that helps....

I have the black C-10 Vaterra-Losi. Yes the stickers on the tailgate are rediculously crooked. No rear view mirrors lights in the front tail light stickers from a Hasbro product. But yeah, it still a pretty little thing. So ordered the Traxxas tail light bevels and lenses. Both in chrome and black. Held them up to the back of the Losi. Way to big. In the lexan world scale is a relative term. Took the bezel and lense put them in a Xerox machine and shot them down 82-85% seems about right. So building from sheet plastic. Looks good if you paint the bezels black.

I think Losi made this for the 'Hardcore' Drag Racer who was going to add this model to his favorite radio and put in an ESC made for high performance right out of the box. I'm new to 'No Prep' but that's what I did. Anybody need a radio with a 2-in-1 receiver? Why put a bunch of money in parts that are temporary at best? I also waited until I got a 'Steal of a Deal' so I don't feel bad about the left over parts. Sure, the body looks cool but I know it will soon be sliding across the parking lot upside down. I'll keep the Fazer looking good! Nice catch on the Vaterra. Thanks for a Video with some Personality.

I rather pay $230 for the 4Tec 2.0 than the Losi that cost $260 just for the license body that come with LED lights. Traxxas 4Tec 2.0 already has lots of upgrades you can get from Traxxas, GPM Racing, and Yeah Racing already and with the 3.0, you can use 2.0 upgraded parts on the 3.0 chassis which is pretty cool. And sorry for the loss of your family. I hope things will be better for you in the future. Keep up the awesome 1/10 scale videos!

Horizon basically split Vaterra. The SCX10iii uses Ascender chassis patent. I have 5 of the Vaterra V100s. The only good thing that came out of Horizon bringing it back under the Losi umbrella is that some of the aluminum upgrades became available again. I love the Kyosho Fazers. I can’t wait for the new Nissan Skyline to arrive.

That wasn't the first time Horizon did that. Almost a decade ago, I had an old Losi Mini Desert Truck 1/14 which was virtually the same as the Vaterra Kalahari Mini Desert Truck 1/14. Same chassis, but different radio gear, bodies, and wheels. One of the two were a rebadge of the other. The way I looked at it is that one was a Honda Civic and the other was its hoity-toity counterpart Acura El. 🤪 I also had the Vaterra V100-S chassis in a couple of cars and they were my least liked because they were annoying 'belly scrapers'. Each of them were badly scarred up underneath only after one run on concrete. Those were the last Horizon on road cars I bought. Nice bodies I'll admit though!

I'm sorry about ur loss they are family, and thanks for going into detail about the Losi cars, it's true, and what could be considered theory makes common sense to those that have something of a understanding of how things run in the hobby, to be honest I miss vaterra they could be pricey but they were very good, now all is not lost as Losi is making their way into the drag market with their no prep platforms, um I myself have not done this yet!, but I'm sure with a little creativity and thought you can turn a drag into a road car somewhat easy, if Losi brings out a roller drag kit I'm going to try it, heck might be a video idea for u all. Anyway keep up the good work I'm actually new as I was researching the Red Cat Shredder when I hit on this channel, I find u honest and informing, so agin why it might not always get u mass subs. They take all the good brands and then ruin them for profits, one model at a time. Definitely would go with Kyosho over that car any day.
