In this video we unbox the Losi 1969 4WD street car. This vehicle is 10th scale and bad to the bone. AJ takes the car out and tests it before switching out a few components to make the car faster and run cooler. Come along as we dig this car out of the box and discover what lay inside.

Got mine yesterday and call it Big Red after the 200 mph ‘69 Camaro. I really enjoyed running it around. Far more faster, and durable than I expected for the price. Enjoy drifting around on my driveway. I appreciate the upgrade discussion and agree it’s beautiful out of the box. Going to enjoy it as stock for a bit and then look to upgrade. Didn’t experience the heat issue, and ran it on my smooth driveway so didn’t get the wear either. Me and Big Red are having fun and that’s the point for me!

Great video, I have the black one now for about 2 weeks. Really fun to drive. FYI, the chrome rim ones you purchased are what came on mine. They are very soft also and wear quickly. I haven't experienced the high temperatures your seeing, in fact I installed a 26T pinion and the stock ESC nor the motor has gone over 135F. But I did get rid of that plastic motor cover and installed a cheap heat sink with dual fans. I get 27 mph consistently with 2s 35c common sense battery.

Aj ik old video. They on sale and your very good at reviewing. Keep mind brushed motors run hotter 🔥 when they are new till the break in. I left my fazers stock more my shelf queens. Can you believe they sold limited edition sc losi truck with this remote I regret not buying just for my collection nut remote like this with 4 500 truck is crazy

Brushed motors don't break in, they burn up. Those temps ain't getting any better. All brushed cars are shelf queens. No fun to run above the age of 7.

IKR? That's the problem with brushed, even if you were happy with slow speeds, those motors don't last. But they don't sell rollers, because they like to be able to charge you double for trash brushed electronics. Brushed motors are just a cash-grab, and disposable trash you're forced to buy.

Is the ese an ese/receiver combo? I did not see a receiver on mine to switch out the remote. What TRAXXAS wheels part number did you use?

That remote looks like it is foo-foo garbage can fodder. I'd feel like a baby using it. It looks like it belongs to a $50 China dumpster car. It looks exactly like non-proportional $20 dumpster car remote I own. How can you say it's an okay remote? Have you used a big boy remote before ?

I got the Black One. Everything is Cool except when I Turn it on it takes Off Full Blast till I hit the Trottle then its All Good. I turn the Car on 1st then the Controller tried Trottle Trim still Blast OFF a Serious Safety Hazard. Any adice would be appreciated.

Great video! This car is on my radar this week with HH discounting it $50 off. Stock motor looked plenty fast in the video but the heat is concerning. Can you please tell how many kv your replacement brushless motor is?

@@AJJAMStudios TBH, I ended up getting the Kyosho Camaro instead. Put in an ESS One Sound module, lights, magnetic clipless body mounts, and heat sinks/ fans on both the motor and ESC. it’s plenty fast, motor stays cool, and I probably won’t upgrade that car to BL just because it’s plenty fast stock on 2s, and any faster, I’ll need a gyro and new tires after every run…lol. Thanks to videos like yours, it helped my decision. I’m sure the HH Camaro is nice, but I found one of the few Blue/white stripe Kyoshos left to find NIB. Very happy with my choice. Great channel! Subscribed!

Way too expensive for what it is. The kyosho fazer, which also has the option for a beautiful camaro/charger/camino body, is much cheaper. And why do they have to put the body posts in a direction that the pins reach into the hood bulge? That's going to rip the body pretty fast. And it looks like the rear tires have different width and circumference than the front ones, which drastically limits your tire options. Thanks for your vid man, will stay away from this.

losi are overpriced and low value parts compared to other RC cars today, and cannot compete with other brands no more. They are owned by a profit greedy horizon hobby parent company , so all you get is low grade high price .

Horizon Hobby is less greedy than Traxxas, the company that releases $250 brushed 2WD trucks and sells a $130 set of 8 hex drivers. You high. PS: Losi has always been low value high price and people put up with it because of the licensed bodies. You high. If H.H is the greediest, what brand actually is not a ripoff, I ask you?
