When video game characters get popular and gain a mass following, sometimes companies come up with more ideas than the development team can handle. This leads to many cancellations and disappointed fans who were looking forward to a certain project. Today let’s talk about the lost and cancelled projects of the worlds favorite video game characters Mario, Sonic, Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie, Megaman, and Rayman

MegaMan Legends is such an underrated gem! Glad to hear you say it's the best in the franchise because it truly is. I was apart of 100,000 strong when it was at it's most active, but unfortunately it's gone pretty dormant. Personally I think MML3 planning to be on the 3DS was a bad idea. Handheld just doesn't seem like a good match for Legends. I would 100% crowdfund anything new for the MegaMan Legends franchise if it was on PS4 where I feel it would do good on. Hopefully someday we can get Vollnutt off the moon!! 💙

I remember that era. That was when Capcom basically refused to believe Mega Man existed and just hyperfixated on the Street Fighter franchise. it got to the point where Capcom made Disney pull Dr. Wily from an appearance in Wreck-It Ralph. You see, he was supposed to be one of the Supervillain Anonymous support group, but was replaced at the last moment by a generic zombie character. If there's any lost Mega Man media I want found, it's the Wily cut.

The section on Capcom hit hard for me as they basically spent the 360/PS3 generation of consoles having no idea what they were doing. I had been a fan of the company since childhood, growing up with Megaman and all their various franchises. The Megaman Legends 3 cancelation hit hard as they literally announced it the day the Prototype (that would have been used for fan feedback) was supposed to launch. I still think the scars from this period have kept the company from branching out and trying to bring back old series despite having a huge back catalogue with tons of potential.

The thing about Sister Sonic is incorrect,it got cancelled because fans of Popful Mail wanted a faithful localization instead of a Sonic re-skin.

9:21 Shadow wasn’t introduced in Sonic Adventure 1. He was introduced in Sonic Adventure 2.

1:27 - People are still referring to these Zelda and Mario games as the "worse games"? Or some of them at least? At this point, that's something that's only been TAUGHT by people like you instead of being something you played yourself. Heck I haven't and I can tell you that most of them are flawed at best while overhated for others like Hotel Mario.

I like Sonic the Hedgehog satam series also Sonic 16 should have been released in the first place. 😀👍🎮

Would be cool, but a lot of people and critics would end up bashing Sonic 16/SonicSatam due to Sonic taking it slow, which would have been out of character for the blue hedgehog. Maybe if they gave the stealth segments to Sally while giving Sonic levels where he can go fast like in Sonic 3, then it would have been acceptable.

I'm disappointed they didn't get someone to rework the game to compromise between the stealth play based on the SATAM series and Sonic's usual speed. Sega, at least its Western branch, was always open to their cartoon and comic counterparts. The preSatAT comic versions of the characters did appear in Spinball, and they had a reskin of Puyo Puyo with AOSTH Robotnik and his badniks. We even almost had a Westernized version of the trackball arcade game with SATAM Robotnik sprites. Too bad we couldn't have had a stronger SatAM game concept.
