The way they experimented with textures over 3D models was revolutionary back then. Tekken was so ahead of the curve that basically became the way the game worked 3D character models in a cheaper and less powerful hardware became the norm of how they're supposed to be treated in game development.

Tekken 5 has tons of secrets and cut content or unused stuff, more than any other Tekken title, I still haven't seen anyone cover it.

Glad that Tekken has never forgotten it's roots. To think Virtua Fighter had a lot to do with Tekken's inception, and that Tekken would take the torch in 3D fighting games in 2024.

I love Tekken. It's one of the coolest PlayStation 1 games. I love that in Tekken 1 you can kick and throw characters around and when I played other games after I was like oh this is the normal. I'm happy that Tekken is still alive and going strong today planning to release their new game Tekken 8. Cool video. ^_^

Pretty sure Virtua Fighter ran at 384p (ega) at 60fps in the arcade. Just like most the other model 2 games. While the original Tekken arcade was 240p and ran on PS1 hardware. When I play virtua fighter in groovymame by tri-sync arcade monitor definitely switches to EGA mode and I can see 24khz on my rgb interface.

Tekken one of the best fighting games of all time, i bought it just when hit the stores for my PSX back in the 95, its graphics still holds very well even today. My last Tekken game was Tekken 3, 21st century fighting games sucks.

That game is Technically Death by Degrees which is Ninas Game since its a Prequel to Tekken 1.

I don't think that's confirmed? Maybe it could have been happening alongside Tekken 4 or 5? I do believe Nina during Tekken 4 was doing her own thing. Also In her prologue she's seen in a room full of unknown men assassinated... I feel that connects to Death by Degrees. I'm counting DBD to be alongside Tekken 4 meaning it would be, maybe, a Tekken 5 prequel.

I would rather play the beta of Tekken 1 than 8. The demo of 8 was brutally bad on the eyes and I don't care anymore because of the bad graphic effects. Interesting video.
