dude, if bill ever starts that crowdfund i'm gonna end up putting a lot into it because i have been waiting for a choptop movie since i was a literal child. chop top is one of my favorite horror characters of all time and i was like ten when i found out about all american massacre. it's production's been an obsession of mine for over a decade now because it's like the king of all development hell movies (with the queen being darkchylde). god i hope someone finds a way to get this movie made. character rights are such a friggin disaster to deal with but it would be tragic if we never got to see it. it's been so long and everyone working on it clearly loved what they were doing. bill moseley deserves to be chop top again, he talks about the character often and i've seen interviews where he visibly looks excited at the prospect of being him again. some actors have that one character who's like their "baby" and i feel like chop top is his and those kinds of comebacks are always a blast to see.

Been following this one since before the 2011 revival. All the footage is shot, it was a matter of sound design and editing that was holding it all up. I've been waiting for this since '99. As soon as I saw the title I had to click away from the video I was watching. I'm still hoping, but it's more wishful thinking at this point, if I'm honest. TCM 2 is my favourite of the series though. It was a departure from the first but it was done in a way that was amazing to watch as a fan of dark humour. That and The Evil Dead set the standards for great dark horror comedy.

@@augustgreig9420 I think they're conflating preference with artistic merit. I mean Return of the Living Dead is one of my favorite movies of all time, but I'd never try to argue that it's a high-quality, classy film like The Shining, or even TCM1. TCM2 has a cult status for the same reasons it makes general audiences uncomfortable; It's too comically gruesome to be mainstream. That's its whole charm... but for most people, it's not going to be a better film than TCM1.

I could’ve sworn this was out in the wild. I actually saw a version of this movie that year I went to college in 2006. It was really low quality, as I recall, and only about an hour. But who doesn’t love Bill as Chop Top? I’ll make some phone calls and see if that dvd is still in somebodies possession.

AMAZING VIDEO!!! As a Huge Buckethead fan I love that you had your facts correct and nobody ever mentions the existing cornbugs albums when speaking of chop top. I actually have an autographed cornbugs DVD and autographed sticker with a special msg from Bill himself thanking me for my purchase of his albums for my birthday. He also gave me a signed sticker and bonus album of an autographed pike for the special order. Cornbugs and Buckethead are amazing

I remember going to watch this alone in the theater and smoking a blunt in the back row. There were 2 other people there in the front who after some time offered me $20 for the rest of my blunt. That was awesome as only a third was left. One of my best childhood memories. And I loved part 2 .

I think Sony would probably give the character to him for a cheap price, idk why they would be so determined to keep a character that appeared in one movie back in the 80’s

This was the first chainsaw massacre movie I saw as a kid. I had nightmares of the scab eater guy in my school playground. Casing us into the PE teachers shed that was a mystery until you got in the first grade and could play on the big playground. I went back when my daughter started school and I remember everything was much bigger then than now.😊
