Buona sera Mark. Grazie molto Mark 😊💯👏👏👏

It's generally VERY difficult to win as the humans, but I think that makes the game really exciting and intense. Once someone finally succeeds playing as the humans, it feels like a well deserved victory, and not cheap in the slightest.

Exactly; you want it to be a challenge if you're playing as, or with, an adult.

This is my favorite of the Jurassic Park games. Thanks for the review.

You're welcome. It's my favourite too, but JPIII is pretty close.

This looks great! I’d love to see Restoration Games take a crack this one. Well, actually I bet a straight up re-release like Forbidden Bridge would do well too.
@AtticRaidersRetroReviews2 жыл бұрын
Yeah this is definietly a game that still holds up well today and would probably do well in stores. Can't say I've seen any Jurassic World games that look particularly fun.

The instructions (US ver at least) actually has a diagram on how to repack the game, showing which building to put where and which buildings to put upside down, etc
@AtticRaidersRetroReviews2 жыл бұрын
That's true - the UK/EU version has that too actually. Personally I prefer not having any of the building have to go in upside down as the instruction diagram indicates though.

I have a barely used copy of this game sitting in my closet that I got after my original became unusable. I'm always so afraid to play it now because the paper buildings wear down and start to look shabby over multiple playthroughs. My helipad is already starting to flatten and needs repair before every setup. Been thinking I should 3D scan them into something like Tabletop SImulator so I can finally flip the table like I always wanted when the raptors get my last human for the FIFTH FREAKING TIME TONIGHT!

Yes, cardboard buildings are not the best. Some nice 3D printed replacements would be good!

Dear Mark, thank You for another great review. Sorry in advance for OT, but I would like to ask You something as You are specialist. I am huge fan of Jules Verne books and I am wondering if maybe You know some board games related to his work? Thanks in advance.

There are a few different 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea board games - the 1975 Walt Disney World version (based on the book and the ride they had at the time) looks like the most interesting to me. There are a few Around The World In 80 Days board games, but none that appeal to me. Tom Vasel has reviewed Journey To The Centre of the Earth, but there's not any vintage versions that I'm aware of, though Waddingtons' brilliant Lost Valley of The Dinosaurs is extremely close in theme and worth getting.

@@AtticRaidersRetroReviews Thank You very much, Mark. Definitely I have to get one of these.

Wait, does the T-Rex move any faster? I must have missed it.
@AtticRaidersRetroReviews2 жыл бұрын
The T-Rex is rolled for each time it's the dinosaur player's run - they either get a Don't Move, Move 1 or Move 2 - so not capable of moving particularly fast along the track.

We've played this game several times and let me tell you the humans don't have any chance of winning, the rules are very unbalanced
@AtticRaidersRetroReviews Жыл бұрын
I've won several times playing as the humans. It's tougher, but I enjoy the challenge.
