Great analogy of the senko. It took me awhile to break away from the simplicity of it. In my 3rd full season now having a blast catching them on topwater, reaction, etc. Thanks for all the confidence building

I think you’re right about the senko. I set my wife up on this or a drop shot and she catches a lot of smaller bass. It’s fun. On days where I don’t catch a thing I’ll throw one on too.

Thanks for the tip on smelling. I'm new to fishing and didn't know this. I was out last weekend on my kayak on the Cape Fear and noticed one section where the fish smell was thick and it only lasted for about a hundred feet. I wish I had known this tip a few days ago.

Also, if you had to chose one rod in the entire 13 fishing line up to use for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits of 1/2 ounce. Which one would you personally use? Price is not an issue. I swim the senko off the bottom with a switch switch pause switch when water temperatures are 65 or better and a slit twitch and let it fall back to the bottom when it’s 55 or below and dip the tail in JJ’s magic with some smelly jelly bass feast sent….undefeated it catches the big ones.

Hey man I love your vids, im a new sub and have a question im looking for you to answer if you dont mind lol So about every summer we go up to north Carolina for 4th of july and fish these freshwater lakes right outside the cabin... I only caught maybe a 2 pound bass in the dead center of the lake on a canoe, is that because it is the deepest point or...? Secondly, there was another guy out on his canoe and he was fishing under the docks and catching fish after fish and eventually caught a 5 pounder, I didn't have the guts to ask him what he was using, the water was very clear towards the docks, any recommendations i could receive from you to catch more fish?? Thanks man!

@@nathanblevinsfishing I was 1/509 Pathfinder company, its a tough unit bc you're OPFOR for The Box. Intense field schedule. But major Texas cities are within easy reach for weekend trips, and the outdoors are right at your fingertips. It's definitely a trade off, I had family in Texas so it was beneficial to stay closer at the time. Good luck, I hear Stewart is pretty.

There is a very small lake in my area that is just packed with fish that won’t bite . I’m in southern Oklahoma and I’ve thrown everything and they won’t touch it . I think all they want to eat is shad . I’ve thrown every swim bait I can find and the only thing I’ve ever had them bite is a z craw . I don’t know if they can’t see the baits can’t find them or it’s just too pressured . I know they are there they chase the shad all day but I just can’t get them to bite and it’s not just me . . Any suggestions??

Why do senkos have to work so damn good.....Motor Oil Red Flake has been destroying the bass for me here in Wa State. I use other baits as well but when there is not a bite time to use a senko. I am going to intentionally go senkoless a couple days this week. Cast a senko to an isolated patch of grass or some sticks sticking out above the water and freekin hold on!!!
