I am confused as to how and why Buster only received 1/2 a million though because that estate was worth upwards of 3-4 million and sadly with Paul gone the estate would’ve been all Busters. However, I do know that perhaps although the estate was in only her name perhaps she was still liable for the embezzlement from the firm and the civil suit from the Beech family’s 15 million$£ settlement. Laws vary from state to state but I wouldn’t think a wife who’s filed for divorce and hired a deep dive audit into their finances and the boat being in Alex’s name and it was Alex who stole the millions from the firm and more from clients even, the houses being owned separately how her estate value was 1/2 million roughly 535,000$£ Buster received. Kind of weird but she bought the property from Alex for 5 Million some years back, maybe it’s just I who finds that kind of off putting and an awkward conversation to bring up 🧐 Her family was very well off and his salary is said to have been roughly 90,000$£ a year and the monies earned from settlements was distributed once per year so of course that would’ve been upwards of at least a million I presume but her family was and is wealthy beyond Murdoch’s family wealth. The Murdoch’s pride was their name and reputation that created their status and that’s what they were proud of and money was had of course but not really important overall. The hunting house lol was a nice huge property but nothing extravagant exactly. I’ve seen footage of the inside and it’s not lavish by any means. It’s a country cabin feel and the outside of the property was just basic chairs and wooden tables. Nice decks but modest decor. Maggie’s beach house that’s a different story lol and that’s where she was actually residing at. It’s sad her sister was the one to convince her to go to the 'cabin’ home that awful day, she’s got such guilt but she’s not to blame. I watched a video earlier that day of Alex and Buster and they were joking about a tree that was refusing to stay up and you hear Paul laughing and it’s so eerie as he had no inkling about what was going to transpire mere hours later. You know I wish I could press pause and create an ending that resulted in Alex taking himself out of the equation. Imagine the fear and confusion as you watch your dad killing you without pause or hesitation. Maggie tried to stop Alex and rammed into him making him fall on his bum so he took Paul’s gun to finish him as he didn’t know he was still alive until he was fighting Maggie and Paul was standing in the feed rooms doorway. Second shot was an instant death and explains the crime scene perfectly. Maggie was second and tried escaping and he shot I believe 3 times the first wasn’t fatal and she was on knees using one arm to prop her up as the other wrist was shattered by the bullet and testimony was that the blood drops show she was bleeding downwards long enough for large pools of blood to form. Her lower leg was muddy from her brushing against Alex’s truck wheel as she tried to get away and they discovered the mud caked on her had the exact same characteristics of the truck tire. So Paul’s Snapchat video and the tire impression markings were symbolic in a way and Paul and Maggie were responsible for ensuring Alex didn’t get away with murdering them. Jurors said it was the video from Paul’s phone that cleared all doubts and the tire impression was also helpful and without that video and hearing Alex’s voice and the phone provides the timeline of events and knowing he was there on that video and the call to Paul’s friend and the messaging between them and the final response from Paul and no reply from Maggie proves it was about 4 minutes after Alex was heard in the background that they were being murdered. He admitted being there BUT said I didn’t kill them, well ummm no way was he NOT there at the dog kennels time and the video prove it. No random person just showed up that exact time and without Alex being aware of them at all just shot his son and wife leaving him none the wiser? Yeah, that’s perfectly plausible and could easily happen to anyone!!!🙄 Three people heard in the video, three people present at the crime scene at the precise timing of crimes committed against his family, resulting in only one person living. ALEX DID IT! No way to dispute it away nobody else could’ve done it period the timing leaves nothing to question. He placed Paul’s phone on his back pants pocket but took Maggie’s and threw out the window still powered on 🥴 and was easily pinged so why did he deliberately place Paul’s phone on his back pocket? I ponder that question and I’ll never figure it out because it’s so bizarre and obviously had meaning to Alex but no way to explain his reasoning! It was testified to that it was absolutely impossible for Paul to have placed it there as the second shot was the kill shot and he would’ve fallen forward and couldn’t have put it there. Maggie was shot three times and I described the first shot above but the other two were both kill shots if one hadn’t killed her immediately the other would’ve. The expert said that the third shot likely was done due to muscle twitch which was not due to Maggie being alive, it just happens naturally sometimes and Alex likely took it as a sign of life. Apologies for my ramblings.

It should be remembered that there were 2 reasons Buster was expelled from law school: 1) plagiarism of one of his girlfriend's law school papers the first semester of his 2nd year and 2) a cumulative law school GPA of 1.2. It is unbelievable that he was allowed back for 2nd year, based on that GPA! His girlfriend seems to be quite a hard worker and very successful in work--as she was in school. I wonder what she sees in him!?!

Buster won't be charged criminally, but Maggie and Buster Murdaugh’s names were dropped from the lawsuit. Tinsley said in exchange, the victims - including Mallory Beach’s parents got a settlement from Buster after Moselle sold. $100,000 went to Joseph McCulloch as legal counsel for Connor Cook to release Cook's claim against Buster Murdaugh in the 2019 wrongful death suit arising from the boating accident in which Mallory Beach was killed. $275,000 to the Co-Receivers for legal expenses arising from claims against Murdaugh. The balance, roughly $2.686 million, will go to clients of Mark Tinsley, legal counsel of Renee Beach as Personal Representative for the Estate of Mallory Beach, Morgan Doughty, and Miley Altman, who are each involved in civil suits arising from the boat crash.

He wasn’t costing his father the $$$ that Paul was because of the boat crash he caused which led to the death of Mallory Beach - & the trial for the wrongful death lawsuit, in which her family was expected to be awarded millions from, was just about to start when Paul was murdered. Daddy Alex would rather have his son dead than face paying out millions to Mallory’s family. (& around the same time, he happened to find out that Maggie was preparing to divorce him, in which case he’d lose millions _plus_ property). Of course, part of the issue, wasn’t just that he didn’t want to lose $$$, but, he was in dire straits financially, unbeknownst to anyone other than his brothers at that point in time. He had no reason to kill Buster.
