I have one issue with what JM said here and when he testified at the trial. That is, he had no knowledge of Alex taking any drugs. I met JM, Alex, Buster and Paul when they came into the convenience I was working at. JM, Buster and Paul stood back while Alex was lit, hyperactive, demanding and overly loud. They stood far apart enough to make me nervous and very uneasy. The owner of the store, I found out later were long time friends with the Murdaughs. All I knew at the time was there was this guy slapping the counter, demanding service and pushing to get ahead of other customers. He did not seem angry, just out of his mind hyper. The owner of the place kept a 44 revolver laying flat under the register. I had my hands on it twice, pointing it his way. I simply didn't know what was going to happen. The stark contrast between Alex and the others was obvious. How JM could not have any inkling about this, I find hard to believe. I did not know who they were. I know I didn't want them back. This was nearly 12 years ago. I only figured out who they were after the murders. I have since come to learn that this the typical behavior of an addict on opioids. I simply cannot believe that JM was unaware. I do know the boys were aware by their silence and quiet disinterest at the time. JM seems like a good guy but his credibility took a major hit given his statements.

So NO! We all dont have this access. I said what I said 💅🏾💅🏾💅🏾#turnsoffnotifications Sooooo who else can call the Chief of Police of any town and ask for personal escort to speed down the road to a family crisis?? @@whoopsydaisy6389 Your wrong. Opiates are not speed. They're the opposite. They make people mellow. Even with alcohol unless you that is over the top & ppl would just assume it's alcohol consumption behavior. Of course an abundance of opiates would make you extremely sleepy to the point of passing out (or over dosing), but in agreement w almost anyone who knows much about drugs, there's no way Alec was taking the amount he said. Zero chance. You do build up a tolerance as far as how it affects your mind, behavior, speech and actions but not to how your autonomic system works like breathing & heart rate.

@@samanthalake5011 I don't think they are. I think they loved their family and it's a process to come to terms with the idea that your family member is capable of that. I think Liz began to distance herself before the trial if I recall correctly.

He is forthcoming, not trying to hide anything and is obviously trying to help investigators. No one knew what illegal activities Alec was doing except for his coworkers at the law firm.

At @54 minutes into this, the scene reference regarding the black SUV seems to be of location of Steven Smith’s death. Is this the narrative that re-opened the Smith case? It was originally said that something in the Murdaugh murder investigation prompted the reopening .

NOBODY knew Alec. He is/was an addict in many forms gambling, pill and stealing. His family probably had questions but it would be impossible to wrap your head around Alex. Denial works until it doesnt. They are not speaking out to protect the one remaining son. Buster is in the same boat as the rest of the family. It would be sooo difficult to even begin to grasp this situation.

Why were all these interviews conducted in vehicles, and not in their buildings….. John towed the boat away from the boating accident. John came to the house and helped clean up the crime scene he said he just couldn’t stand looking at his nephew in such a state, John, you know better daddy was an attorney you don’t clean crime scenes…. And I don’t say this in an accusatory manner… just wondering
