Back in the year 2018, a small indie game called "Pizza Tower" would be announced, and thanks to its unique art-style, high-paced gameplay and overabundance of personality, the internet would watch and wait with baited breath for its release. Finally, after nearly 5 years of development, Pizza Tower would release to near universal acclaim in January of 2023, and since that point, this game would take the internet by storm. It's a masterpiece in nearly every regard, and thanks to that, it was only a matter of time before someone wanted to see him in Smash. Fantastic moveset ideas! I really feel like Peppino would fit right in in Smash so I'm glad to see concepts for him. One thing though is I think it would be cool if when you held down the taunt button as Peppino he would pull out a juke box and start break dancing just like in Pizza Tower.

This is the video that got me into serious moveset design, and I’d personally want to say thank you for making something as beautiful as this. First watched this video a year ago, and I’m finally getting a second rewatch of this masterpiece. I literally can’t think of any ways to improve upon this gameplay wise, it matches the hectic speed of Pizza Tower to a T and I absolutely love it. His weird physique and disjoints, unique mechanic that actually adds something I want in Smash… a straight up command run… it’s all amazing! You rock, dude. Keep up the good work! Seriously!

I love this idea but I think that his down smash should be Peppino picking up the sword and have a small lighting bolt that hits him and make a electric explosion like when he picks it up in the game and the lighting bolt should have a small spike like pikas that leads into the attack. Also his down air should spike like most stall and falls in smash. And finally I think that he should have a p rank purple outfit

As usual, this moveset was soooo good! The mechanic is fantastic and I like the rushdown and absolutely unhinged feel of Peppino (and as I write this comment and see the view count, it seems this moveset has been a little success and that's nice ;) ).

If I can add as maybe an idea, Mach 3 is unlocked by pressing diagonally down to the left or the right for around maybe half a second, while preforming Mach run level 2, this buffs peppino’s grabs, smash attacks, and special moves, giving them new properties as peppino goes ballistic, and he runs even faster, able to catch up with sonic, however, he loses even more damage on his other attacks, gains quite a bit of knockback, their turnaround is laggy and reverts them back to Mach 2, and while he does have more hits of that armor, it isn’t a lot so he can still be comboed out of it, while damage is non lethal in pizza tower, outside of bosses, you can get comboed, and lose score if you aren’t careful.

In my opinion, I think it’d be cool if one of the victory animations rank changes depending on how well you did. I don’t know how it can be implemented, but I think it can in a creative way. Also the taunt of Peppino doing his little breakdance I think should’ve been one of the taunts, with the hand biting being reduced to a idle animation. You can continue the taunt for as long as you can.

We could add Fake Peppino as an echo fighter. the only changes being: A taller hitbox in exchange for more attack range, a few animations different than Peppino's, but act relatively the same, his down special has been changed. He still taunts, but instead of countering, he launches several projectiles that bounce diagonally. his final smash will be changed to the Fake Peppino Tunnel chase sequence. Similar to Mr Game-and-Watch's final smash, where he turns big and charges forward. any opponent caught in his mouth would be KO'd.

I like to imagine when peppino wins. He does his rank pose depending on how well you did in battle. Let's say you play 5 stock. If you have 5, it's S rank, If you have 4, it's A rank, if it's anything else besides of stock, it will judge you on either max stamina percent, or exposure. But if you beat a battle without taking damage, you can get a very rare P rank victory.

my version: Neutral A: no changes. perfect. Forward Tilt: becomes 3D, runs up to the opponent, grabs them, and his hands become comically large, dealing 20%. this isnt spammable. Up Tilt: Dashes up, grabs the opponent, and depending on their percentage, throws them. They always land on stage to make it fair. Down Tilt: sonics spindash ripoff except he doesnt move and looks like a funging donut. short cooldown and does 2.3%. Dash attack: grabs and small combo, including the greedy checker. 25%. If the dash attack missed, earlier mach mode can happen. Ledge attack: Breakdance, 10% (most of it bc the taunts so good it damages you.) Range is C+. Forward Smash: 4 punches with his giant fist. Great for ledge campers. 35.9 damage. Up Smash: same. perfection. Down Smash: a counter wit same attack. Neutral Air: dash, grab, and spins around with the opponent, slamming down. Forward Air: same thing, except it does less damage since, well, youll see. Up Air: SA2 taunt specifically, boosting the opponent up with 3% damage. This is the reason Forward Air has less damage, an almost unescapable combo unless we talk about Luigi. Back Air: perfection, no changes. Down Air: same thing, but with the Mach Mode on, you can Dive to replace, faster but less damage. Bodyslam: 17% and scaling depending on how high he was. Dive: 10%. Grab: Dashes and grabs with comically large hands, looking at you Forward Tilt. The damage after the grab is same. Up Throw: A simple up throw, but slams on the ground, then tosses up at full speed, above 75% will kill them. Easy to start combos with it. Down throw: HOLY HELL THESE THROWS ARE PERFECT!! Forward Throw: perfection. Back throw: P-erfection! Neutral Special: please stop i need to make ideas and youre making them perfect Side Special: funny slap combo Up Special: perfection, his air moves shine with this. & bodyslam. Down Special: same, but if he misses, he gets damaged 0.1% and looks stupidly sad for a second. Having them hit him while hes sad makes him powered up because you hurt peppino too many times so u go to heggles. All taunts: devs choose which taunt peppino gets, but its all some of the taunts from PT. Victory Theme D: he almost breaks the animation played with how angry he got. Victory Theme C: All he gives is a "wtf was you doin" look and gives a thumbs down. Victory Theme B: claps to himself. Victory Theme A (the start of harder ones.): repeatedly taunting for no reason. Victory Theme S: Super taunting. Victory Theme P: playing all my fellas with the toppins.

I'd like to consider this moveset a revamped love letter to his Rivals iteration, with more put into his Mach Run and better tools to make use of it. The Rivals moveset is good, but it felt like it could've gone a bit further. That, and it felt a bit behind the times of what Peppino would become by Pizza Tower's release.
