Learn to move the club on the circle of speed and you will hit golf shot you only dreamed of. Give this the time and attention it needs, you will thank me.
You can contact me for a online lesson on: skillest.com/a...
Let me help you get a effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook.
Long and straight is every ones goal but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can get better.
Find what inspires you. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

I love this but I have some questions..I feel on the backswing I need to pull the club behind me and up in order to move the circle as you show. Are we swinging 90 degrees out or are we swinging 45 degrees out…also I tend to hit the big ball before the little ball when I try this circle
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad

@@spondiveswandive561 Try to keep it on your side. You don't want to get stuck behind you. In my mind I'm at least 45 degrees from the inside all the time but it ends up being about 5-8 degrees in reality.

No. Doubt. About. It. I’m 71; 5 feet 5 inches, but been playing golf since I was six. I’ve always been a “puller” so I struggled with over the top, pull hooks and pulled wedges. I’ve won a lot of local tournaments because I love to hit balls and practice and have a good short game. A couple weeks ago I started really concentrating on slow lead hand and fast trail hand, limited body turn, and circle of power. This is stress-free golf. I shot my age twice this weekend; shot 73 from the back tees yesterday, and today finished eagle, birdie, birdie, birdie for 68. My thanks to Marcus for giving me a different way to think about the swing that has turned out to be more powerful (faster), accurate and easier.

Thank you Marcus for one of best if not the single best golf video I’ve seen. Many instructors talking about transition, shallowing, tempo, timing, lag, wrist action and other details. Here you put it all together in one single feeling that really works. After watching the video I did the drill and made some full normal swings with this feeling in mind and the results were obvious, both is distance and accuracy.

Marcus, I tried this and had some great results. I also tried opposite stance, meaning, I stood nearly completely closed with my heels of my feet nearly pointed down the fair way…toes towards the ball. I’m a right handed player…but the feeling this gave me was that I had to swing internal and more from the inside (my right side). To me, this truly brought the feeling of… you have so much room on your trail side and swing path…the more I felt the “magic circle”, the more effortless my swing felt. To me, it almost feels like you can’t get the club inside too much…all the room for your swing and the power comes from that magic circle….this is great stuff. I hope you’re recovering and rejuvenating.

This idea conforms to the laws of physics. To throw a ball with speed, you start with your hands together, turn your body and put your throwing hand backwards - behind you. This builds kinetic energy = speed once released. If the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, you cheat yourself out of speed and thru potential energy. This is probably the the best video and explanation of the golf swing I have ever seen. I tried your ideas yesterday at the range (irons only) and after a big bucket I realized that I was striking the ball purer (more pure) and cleaner. I wasn't worried about where the ball went but they all followed a straight path. I did not chunk a single ball. I'm 71 and I did not feel tired after hitting nearly 100 balls. No aches and pains as before. Here's hoping that I can continue to make this work every time I pick up a club.

I don't have words to adequately thank you! I've been getting really close to very good ball striking, mostly at the range (time limited). This progressed steadily this Spring/Summer particularly, with succesful, targeted tips I'd search out from Billy Fitzgerald, Malaska, AMG, Heritage, etc. I stumbled upon a video of yours and really enjoyed your concise, relatable (i.e.-easy to understand) instruction style. Then I watched THIS video. The "backward" motion of the club clicked like a lightbulb in my head. Being a "feel" player, I went to the range the next day to try it, and it just became so much more effortless almost immediately. I picked up 10-15 yards with all clubs. Control is unreal from 150 yards in. The flush feeling is what I've been looking for in earnest, literally for years. Again, thanks and keep up the great work!!.....:)

I'm 79 and was hitting my drives in the 210-225 range. I play once a week and hit a bucket once a week. Still, losing distance to Father Time is scary. I used to be a fairly long hitter but now I was receding to Father Time. But what really made me upset was I could no longer draw the ball. I tried EVERYTHING to get my high draw back but nothing worked. When I found you, I was instantly trans-fixed. Simple, direct, utterly sincere, seemingly brilliant...could this be true? At first, I gobbled up many of your videos, looking for that secret clue, the one that had eluded me for so long. I saw the circle of speed video and tried it out but I didn't really get it. I somehow already realized that I needed to go back at the start of my downswing, not forward but I just didn't realize you were doing exactly what I was looking for. Too many videos in my head. Last week, I returned to this video and practiced the circle over and over relentlessly. And I am only beginning to get the feel of it. As you wisely advise, it takes time. Yesterday, I played and the most thrilling part of the day were my misses, the irons and drives, were almost all draws! I hooked the ball a few times but that was so welcome after all the little slices and misses that have drained my shotmaking and distance for so long. As for distance, 4 of my drives with my trustly old TM Burner were in the 250 yard range....it was soooo wonderful seeing them hit the ground and running out that extra yardage. What a joy! Marcus, you are a keeper. People with your generosity and gifts dont come along too often in life. You are deeply appreciated and beloved here. I am also so happy/relieved to hear that you are successfully dealing with your health issues. The world can't have enough of what you are and what you bring. Thank you.

A single digit HCP got me onto this video and frankly, having watched it a first time at the beginning I thoughht it's a prank. How can you even hit a golfball with full open stance? Then I thought it's one of the weirdest videos I've ever seen teaching golf. OK. Then I tried it and goodness my, complete epiphany. I can hit a draw these days (after lots work) but it always felt I needed tons depth in backswing and just the right sequence that was always trying to fall apart hands going first, especially when tired. With this video I finally after all those years got the sensation of the club going in retrograde naturally and wiping from the inside. Feels all unbelievably natural, even hitting open stance which I thought first was a joke. Only thing I have to check whether I can really get my weight through the ball with this with a bit of filming. Thank you for this unbelievably out-the-box video, it takes a genius to come up with stuff like this no'one else shows I know of.

Then I watched one of Marcus's videos about the trail hand overtaking the lead hand. After a few hundred chip shots into my sofa, my golf completely changed. Life is good after Marcus. I am 71. Since the change I have to hang onto to the club pretty good because I generate so much clubhead speed now that the club wants to fly out of my hands. Yeehah!!!

I think one key to reaching more golfers is to use an economy of words. People have a short attention span. If it can be said in 2 min. I think more people will likely click on it. There is also a place for longer explanations. I will be playing nine holes later today with my 88 year old father! It is about 42 deg. F today. Golf is a great game and I will be putting your lesson into practice today! @@GolfwithMarcusEdblad

Enjoy your videos very much. I think I FINALLY get it. Please tell me if I'm wrong, but what's working for me is basically swinging along the same line the shoulders make at the top of the backswing. In other words, straightening the right arm with what feels like towards right field - instead of sort of wrapping the right arm around your chest to the target. I feel more room and a more fluid swing. A nice high draw when I do it right, but still fighting the release and then a dead push right. Anyway, thanks very much! 🙂

I watched a couple of your videos about a year ago and I didn't really get it, I thought you were another KZbinr and that you just had really strong hands and forearms. But I recently watched your videos again and have had good results pushing thru contact with my right hand/arm. I feel its pushing way past impact in a way that if you were left or lead hand dominant pulling there is no way you could go thru that far thru the ball. This video of the magic backwards circle was very good. I've heard other teachers saying the club goes backwards at first but they seemed to be just using their wrist to make it go backwards, they never mentioned a backwards circle. When I tried swinging with my feet facing the target I finally felt what you said about a circle going backwards! One way I can envision the circle going backwards is to think of swinging backwards when the club is up over your head as in a full follow thru swinging high and behind you. So I've gone from being a disbeliever to a believer, thank you for your informative videos.

Marcus, perfectly explained. I noticed this problem for me a while ago rather occasionally by looking at me at setup and from there controlling the way of the clubface from top to impact. But honestly it‘s so hard to overcome this terrible urge to go straight forward and down over the top, if there is a ball under me. I think, if one can get this movement the way you described, 90% of the work is done. Fantastic video, thank you.

My greatest lesson from Marcus was when he explained how the wrist worked in a golf swing. Once he showed an above view of his hands,that lit the bulb for me. Even in this demonstration, you can see the wrist rotation it's something that needs to be looked at. This wrist rotation will also help you feel the club head weight. Once the feel of that club head comes into play, you then can figure out how to catapult that mass around your body. Thanks again, Marcus.

It felt amazing. Today, I hit 4 fabulous drives using this method, I only played 9 holes.. It feels odd throwing the club head away at the start of the downswing, I feel like I might even miss the ball and I need to adjust how close I am to the ball. I didn't measure the drives but they must have been close to 290-300. You just have to trust in it. Just trust this method and you'll get there.

I tried this at the range today and I was happy with my results considering that I've only started practising this recently. I hit a lot more drives consistently in the centre of the face. I've never consistently hit the centre of the driver face like I did trying this method. I'm going to stick with this at the foundation if my golf swing. Sure I hit some bad shots, but I'm still learning this technique. I still managed to hit a few fades and one or two slices, but at least I now know that it's just because I released late and it's not a swing path issue. I'll work on my release with the driver and keep working on the circle of speed.

Hi Marcus.This is the first time I see a video from a pro that makes a lot of sense: how to create speed with arms and your hands will follow instead of rotating faster. This is a eye opener. But…learning new things is alway difficult so do you have drills to learn this?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Жыл бұрын
Hi Mac and welcome to my channel. The drill is there, do the circle without hitting golfballs and then with hitting balls. Understanding the motion is the hard part. Maybe use a mirror to see that you are doing it correct. I have drills for different parts of the circle like the path but not for the whole circle. Maybe I'll try to put some more together during this summer.

I tell you what this opened my eyes. I always handled dragged and hit from in to out trying to compress the ball as much as possible. It's definitely hard on the body. I was in the simulator today swinging my hardest on driver and barely getting to 300 yards. I need to change my thought process to yours. I want something where I can swing fast without contorting myself lol. And I'm getting older. Have you seen Count Yogi on KZbin? Marcus's swing reminds me of his back in the day. It looks like the swing is behind the ball. Anyway I need to hit the dome (a range for the winter) tomorrow to find out how to do this.
